In order to join this game, you must be ranked on the 1v1 ladder.

Join by sending a private message. Once joined, you will be sent a private message which will contain the name of your target, notes on his behavior, personality etc, and the price* for his head. To fulfill the contract you must defeat that player in a 1v1 match, by the end of the month.

Your target must never know that you are out to kill him. The kill must be made on the account you used to make the contract; alts are discouraged. You will only get one chance to kill him (the first 1v1 that the two of you play). When you meet your target, you must send a private message to the assassin coordinator (myself) with the game's link, to determine the success or failure of the attempted kill.

Notes on target selection:

The target will be selected at random from the 50 players ranked above you; or, if you are in the top 50, will be selected at random from within the top 50 players.

Notes on payment:

The initial bounty offered will only be paid in full, if the assassination occurs in a ladder match. Setting up a casual 1v1, to assassinate the player, will decrease the bounty paid by 50%. The price will be determined by the player's rank on the ladder; obviously, stronger players will result in higher payment.

Using a coin game 1v1 to complete the contract will give 85% pay; a tournament win, 75%.

Good luck to all of you. Much of this game will be done in private, but it would be nice if someone bumps the thread occasionally to keep it alive. ;)

Interesting idea, but I have some suggestions:

Why not make a list of hitmans open? I think this would make game more fun, because you know to avoid "unusual" behavior of certain players.

Even more interesting would be to list them in 1st post with status like active/not active/dead (who said hitman can't be a target?). Moreover, posting results of each "job" could keep thread alive and help others to track progress of a game.

Also how about to include real time ladder? I'd like to play, but I don't feel like playing 1v1 ladder again.
And last suggestion: maybe 75% of payment for tournament and 85% for coin game ?

And what do you mean by payment ? Are you going to lose some coin games to pay with coins or are we talking abut some virtual money? If the latter, then how do we spend it?

EDIT: and for all other games except ladders, hitman should write in public chat "you're being assassinated" (or something similar) and post link to this thread on the beginning of a game to make sure he use first game against his target.

How about this: once the "hitman" starts the game, they submit it to this thread. So the stealth part will be getting the other player to agree to a 1v1, but they'll be held accountable on the one-try rule because the game will be visible here.

We can do that, sure! Once we have a few more players added I'll set up a list.

As for including the real-time ladder, I'm willing to do that, but you must be ranked on the RT ladder when applying for a contract, because your rank will probably determine the target you receive. Since there aren't as many players ranked on the RT ladder, I'll use a random number that is 10 ranks above or below your current rank to decide the target.

I'm not rich in real life, and I'm already paying a bit of money for clan league, for my clan. I think the money used in this game will be pretend, but maybe it can be spent to protect yourself from future assassins, or hire your own assassinations etc. Suggestions are welcome!

I do like the idea of using a larger payment for tournaments/coin games, but not as large as a game on the ladder itself. Let's go with that. :)
