why cry?" says the guy with the Tagline: "Dont leave your backside wide open............"

Some of you should consider it's a strategic game. Go play an hack 'n slash video game if you look for more action.

From my point of view, boot command is here to prevent someone from holding up a game, not for winning purposes...

I like your point of view Manamat.

In a 5 minute boot game, if someone doesnt commit in 5 minutes, they are holding up the game. Many of us are just looking for a nice, quick game. A lot of times, I just down want to wait on idiots that take too long to move.

Sometimes someone will hold the game up by taking 4:59 every turn ... and when someone who plays quickly has a connection problem for a single turn and take 6 minutes they get booted.

Boots can ruin a game for more than one person.

So I mean, REALLY! I got the 25 hour boot on. I'm looking for people who check their game several times a day just like when they check their emails. If you're a lumberjack who just checks email in the evening, then no WAY. U will forget and get booted. Play a 3 day game then. Not my style. I get people saying stuff like: We was about to take u but u booted him and stuff like that. SO yeah BOOTING is gonna seem like a WEAPON at times. Perhaps like an INTERGALACTIC INCINERATOR or even a FORCE CANNON of PLAZMATRIZATION. But I wander off course now. So if I do boot you, be assured it's just b/c I had a tiny window to do it in not b/c I actually cared about the board position.

I agree that in short games, unless the person consistently takes more than the alloted time to move, he should not be booted for going over once.

In any game that is 25hours or more boot though, I usually give a couple extra hours, depending on how far it is into the game and what their previous times were, but I tend not to give leniency because it is such a lang span.

What it comes down to is this, If you cant make a boot time or even think that you might not be able to, then either give your opponents fair warning or don't join the game.

If you got booted it was because you broke a rule, not because it's someone else's fault.
