Yes there is so much conspiracy in Illuminati i swear the alts outnumber the mains by 5 to 1...

That'll change with time; I'm no longer accepting alts, and I remove inactives, so the clan will naturally phase them out in a few years

So you are using alts to teach your students, then in time kicking them out?

I'll answer as concisely as possible:

Illuminati's clan model has evolved over time: in the beginning of this project we had extremely limited resources (myself and Defiler as elite-title players, no Masters and no PhDs). At that time it made sense to have alt involvement from the top clans who have more qualified players than we did (and still do). Now, we have our own elite section and a Master-titled player, and a PhD-titled player, so our clan's resources have expanded. We still have a large number of alts, perhaps more than necessary and since our clan hopes to build on its own strength, we chose to stop accepting new alternate accounts. After all, we are now a large clan, and if we do choose to expand it will be with main accounts, not alts. At the same time, we always boot inactive players after 14 days, if they haven't told me when they return. That applies to all players ; including and up to PhD titled members. Our clan is an active clan and we have no room for retired accounts. Therefore, our booting of inactive players combined with not accepting new alts will eventually, and naturally, lead to less alts. This does not in any way deride or diminish our thanks for their help.

Trouble is if you were in WG you'd be playing Europe with me, so it would be hard to catch my stats.

While you are at it, you can try to get over 2000 rating on the 1v1 ladder too and catch me there ;)

I'll never leave WG, but to play this game I suppose I should answer. 6 months ago, I would say Apex...but now I'd be worried they'd go the WM route as some of those really great players are starting to go inactive. It would probably be a toss up between GG and Masters I suppose (I like a lot of players in both clans).
