Buddhism and Taosim aren't religions because they aren't about gods, and more about the way of life.
There are people that are Christian Buddhist or Jewish Buddhist.

Not necessarily, ox. Religion doesn't work without any sort of central cult. Otherwise, it's more towards the cultural category rather religion.
Look at native north Americans.

They have temples, though.
