Later this year there will be two, possibly three, Clan Cups. I will manage Clan Cup and Clan Teams Cup and if someone else wants to manage it, I will help out with Clan Trophy. This thread is a brief description of each and welcomes any feedback or discussion prior to these competitions going live in the summer.
Clan CupThe inaugural Clan Cup was won by Icelandic Turtles’ team Asslandic Turtles after they beat Trombones from Harmony in the final. The format for the Cup will be replicated almost exactly for next season whereby each Team is made up of 5 Players from the same Clan and they play 1 game each in a best of 5 against another Team on 5 randomly selected Templates from the MTL. The winning Team progresses to the next round with the losers eliminated.
This means that Clan Cup is a light touch Tournament with 75% of participants only playing 1 or 2 Games and the finalists playing 5 Games each. Multiple Teams may be submitted by any Clan and there are unlimited substitutions but Players are ‘cup-tied’ so can only play for one Team during the season.

Clan TrophyClan Trophy was suggested as a way of compensating the Players who were knocked out of Round 1 of Clan Cup. Essentially this would be another version of Clan Cup for the 50% of Teams who lost their first round Matches.
I do not have the bandwidth to run this event, but if someone can step up I will provide any necessary guidance and support.
Clan Teams CupClan Teams Cup will be similar to Clan Cup except team Templates will be used. Teams will be made up of 7 Players who will compete in a best of 3 Match on 2 x 2v2 Templates and 1 x 3v3 Template. So you won’t know who your teammates are or on which Template you will play your Game until the draw for each round is made.
As with Clan Cup, this will again be light touch and will be guided by the same rules and principles.
