My back of the napkin math said once Nobunaga is your SA midpoint (or later), +100 AP starts to make sense. That was based on the levels required to earn 400 base AP (everything up to and including SoF). I retired before I got there though.
Calculating the actual fully optimal path is probably a lot harder.

When you're half way through your SA time wise. So, if a SA takes 24 hours, the midpoint is 12 hours in.

I don't think you're close yet. I was getting down to ~2-3 day SAs after 40 of them, but still hadn't taken any +100 AP yet.

The math is hard to work out.
More and better Artifacts will speed me up.
Getting to maximum increased merc faster will speed me up.
Getting to better hospitals faster will speed me up.
Starting with Joint Strike will speed me up.
I am at 3 days now. Long term just going with +100 is the way to go now but it like will be better to pick up a few more +.25.
