I remember those days. Thanks for not including me in the list Pulsey.... Either way I remember when clans that were pure trash were laughed off of these forums (coldblood). there used to be prestige. I remember when I got accepted into {rp} it was a big deal, Its worth something. Clans are becoming garbage and the once trolls (Me Pulsey, and a few others) Are having to be the "Serious" posters now because the forums are going into cardiac arrest.

I will give Illuminati credit, they have greatly turned around lately, less trolly and much more skill oriented, y'all cleaned up very well, keep working and you can become a great clan

How dumb can you get??? Those who are good at Warlight, are the top tier of the social hierarchy. Consider this: who made strat 2v2's map? [20]. Who made Guiroma's map? [20]. Who made Strategic Greece's map? [20]. You play on the maps that top players made and yet you think they are unknown??????????

i dont use the strat 2 v 2 map. most people dont. MOST PLAYERS DONT USE THE PRE MADE MULTIPLAYER TEMPLATES.

also, yes. no offence to their hard work, but if u were to randomly ask people who made which maps, but not let them check, they wouldn't know.

people are famous who:
1). play often, in large games.
2). include their name in the game map ( the only two map makers i know of are issander, and zxyxzt, or whatever his name is... is hard to remember xD

@Tyrion i make a good amount of scenarios on open games now and then, i just don't stamp my name on them as if i owned any part of this game. They also aren't very mainstream because open games is indoctrinated by scenarios like his WW2, and bland ASOIAF scenarios. Without any real change.

That's okay actually. Interesting division. Still, such work would've been better invested into making a good scenario on another map.

You know your clan is not garbage when you have a skilled ASSISTANT CLAN MANAGER.

Riddle me this, diplo fanatics. 40 players. 2 day boot. Huge map. How many turns do you think it will take for this game to finish? Let's assume you're in it for the long haul. Gonna win this, right?

Let's say it takes 75 turns to finish. Large map FFAs of this size, it's a fair estimate. Notice that vacations are honored in the template you linked. So with vacations honored plus two day boot times, you're looking at . . . . . a 6 month estimate for one game.

Also note it's custom scenario. I doubt any custom scenario ever made has been strategically fair to everyone. And also note that with 40 people, if all skill levels are equal and all starting positions are equal, you have a 2.5% chance of winning the game. A 2.5% chance of winning after 6 months of time invested.

This is why I find diplos are useless to my schedule.

Forbidden, goal of diplomacy is to talk good enough for people not to hate you. Goal of s roleplaying scenario is to have fun. It's okay to bash diplomacy, just make sure you don't bash rp scenarios! (This would include {rp} clan scenarios)

I can finish a strat 1v1 match in ten minutes, and get several thousand points. Or I can spend 4-6 months losing a diplo game, and get 0. Strat 1v1 gives far better rewards for far less of the energy spent.

But that's just me being practical, I guess.

I understand it can be fun; I tried one or two in my early games. It's just not really all that useful (to me, anyway) :)
