Those were all 1 or 2 minute boot time games. And by the way, IT IS NOT THE POINT how much I get booted!

^^Its just you lose to diplos 100% of the time or you play real time diplos , play multiday diplos if you think its a watse of time.

I will invite you to a RP/Diplo I am making, it will be multi-day 3 day autoboot. I promise, when you play with friends diplos have a LOT less PE'ing (that is mainly lowlevel players) and less trolling.
Accept or Decline, but if you don't at least try my game you have lost this argument in my opinion. that would be like bitching about a game when you get an alpha build

While I agree that a lot of Diplomacy games are bizarre arguments over stupid details, I disagree with this big-time. Your opinion on Diplomacy games, whether I agree with it or not, is not relevant to Fizzer or the structure of this site and the development of this game.

I am a big believer in individual freedoms.

If people want to play a certain game a certain way... there's no reason they shouldn't be allowed to.

(How would you stop them, anyway? They'll keep doing it. That's the beauty of being endowed with free will.)

If you don't like Diplomacy games, you have every right not to join any. Exercise that right!

The Falcons, the Wolves, the Juggernauts and a load of others are full of keen diplomacy players.

I always say and I will always continue to say that if you dislike diplomacies or the people who play them then you are either.
1. Bad at them. (yes you can be bad at diplos)
or
2. Playing with the wrong people and/or with bad templates.

Bad templates is a serious problem. I am constantly finding diplos setup by people who have very recently only joined WarLight who have no idea what they are doing. Maybe people should have to reach a certain level before they are allowed to create a game?

Because they're bad and some folk like them. It's pretty simple to understand.

Many people in Warlight love diplomacies, there are many clans created mostly for them, like mine. Anyway, if you don't like diplos, don't join them, that's all.

And I'm sorry if all diplos you've joined went bad, but there are many ones that I have really enjoyed, having won them or not.

i come from a background of playing the real diplomacy game. I have absolutely no wish to play these games on here. There are specific websites to play Diplomacy.
However, i see no reason at all to ban these games. If people wish to play them then let them. Youre not forcedto play in any game on here unless you sign up for it.
You should leave people be unless they are harming you directly and since you dont like Dip games, then i really dont see how they can harm you.

anyway... lots of diplos are good. especially in games where everyone knows each other, i've played in games where up to turn 10 there were no PE's/booted players.

i really don't see how a certain kind of game could be a problem for someone that doesn't join that kind of game. no one is forced to join. i've never noticed a diplo, or the fact that diplos exist, causing any problems in other games.

and you calling them bad is just your opinion. i somewhat agree with that opinion, but that's beside the point.

I guess it is nearly impossible to ban diplo games, which makes the whole discussion pointless. =D Although I would really like to know how you would realize to ban those games...

JS0223, if you do not like diplomacy games then do not join them. There are plenty of people who do like diplomacy games.
