So i am glad that there is christians out there that chooses to ignore or somehow manage to find an interpretation of the bible in line with modern values.

Most young Christians around Europe do this, because they know that original values in that time have disappeared through the years. My Religion teacher (yes, in Spain that subject exists, although it's basically optional) is one of the most tolerant people I know, and he teaches Christianity as the message of Jesus was: love, peace and so. I really doubted there still were so many people who hated gays and lesbians, until I entered in the world of Internet, and saw how there are still people in the USA living hundreds of years ago.

I'm Transgender. I'm not deluded or unnatural... and transexualism in the biological sense exists in the animal kingdom (female hyaenas will grow a faux penis when no males are around).

Humans are complex. Our brains are wired in all sorts of ways and, as has been said before, if it we're simple enough for us to comprehend it, we couldnt comprehend it.

Everyone knew I was a girl in a guys body way before I accepted it. After 46 years Ive embraced it and am far happier... yes, it's categorised as a mental illness because it takes place as a dysphoria. in the same way creativity or anger. Its no more weird than preferring strawberry ice cream over chocolate. Its not sexual but identity thats at play and that frightens some people.

Its not common but is more common than you think. We, in the west, call it Transgender or transexualism but in native american peoples they call it 'two souls'. In SE Asia and India they call it the third gender.

In reality, the people Ive found to be ok about my old identity coming through are straight people. The most abuse ive had is from gay people who think it's 'some kind of new fangled gay' (which it isnt. I like girls).

In the grand scheme of things society is leaving you behind. Oddly, I stopped caring about your opinion by the time I got to this point in my post.

Society can't afford you no more. Haters are more and more being marginalised as crazy or conspiracy theorists or fundamentalist loons. Enjoy! :)
