I'd bet on SE America where there's a fair amount of bomb shelters left over from the cuban missile crisis, paranoid gun toting right win radicals keeping them fully supplied and not enough large cities to motivate a direct nuclear strike from anyone that would want to reach it.

Most remote islands such as Polynesia would be safe. They survived for thousands of years in isolation before, they can do it again. Central Africa would be safe because who gives a shit about them? Antarctica would also be safe. Also another misconception is about the radiation. Here's something for you fucking idiots who think avoiding radiation is as important as the initial blast. RADIATION IS NOWHERE NEAR AS DANGEROUS AS AN EXPLOSION RELEASING AS MUCH ENERGY AS A HURRICANE. Here's a statistic. Let's assume Hiroshima gets nuked again. Now, the initial blast would maybe kill a few hundred thousand depending upon the size of the bomb. But the amount of people who would die of cancer because of the bomb to the amount of people who would get non related cancer anyway is 1:20. This means that before, 100% of the people who will get cancer will get cancer. But after the bomb it's only 105%. And oh, you think drinking radiated water is bad? Well I'm not physicist, but I'm sure it would increase your risk of cancer by less than 0.1%

The quality of mercy is not strain'd. It droppeth as the gentle rain from heaven Upon the place beneath. It is twice blest: It blesseth him that gives and him that takes.
