" The Bantamweight Belt 2v2

The Idea for this is simple and based on the boxing belts they win after a fight.

One Team of 2 will hold the belt and all bragging rights that go with it

Teams of 2 will take it in turns to challenge the Belt holders to a match. If they win they will become the new belt holders

Any person wishing to challenge for the belt must ask to be added to the list on this thread and posting the profile link of their team mate

When it’s your turn you will be invited to a game by the belt holders

Just like boxing this is an ongoing “tournament” and will never finish (unless of course the interest for it dies)

The belt holders may retire at any stage and pass the belt to the winner of the next 2 teams in the list. This game will be played on medium earth 2v2 ladder settings

There can only ever be one True Bantamweight Legend and this is the team who has held the belt for the most games. Previous legends may re enter at any stage to try and regain or improve their legendary status. In fact any team may re enter by adding their name to the list

For the start I will control the forum thread to get it going but the idea is for the Belt holder to control it so we aren’t reliant on me being here


The only real rules are as follows

The belt holders keeps control of the forum Thread
After every match is finished it’s the new/reigning Belt Holders responsibility to update this forum thread with the following information (in the same post)

-Current Legend and amount of wins
-Post the result of the match just played with game link so we all know what’s going on
-Update the list adding any new people to the bottom with their profile links
-Invite the next team on the list to the next match

The Belt holders may choose any map and settings they wish. Only restriction is that it must be 2v2 and the map must have more than 15 bonuses, no nosplit, local deployment and rigged custom (a fair custom senario is allowed)

Boot times- must be 5 day auto with holidays allowed

Please be patient while waiting for your turn. Depending on the size of the list it could be some time but its all part of the fun

The first match will be between the first 2 teams that show interest on medium earth 2v2 ladder settings

If you are interested just post here stating your interest and please post the profile link of your team mate too to make game inviting easier


BTW: this is for average players, if you are a top player then do the elite version (please)

The whole point of this belt is the champions VS ANYONE IN THE WORLD...... This is to prove that the champion really is worthy. There should be no Elite or Lower classes

yeah then you end up with the same person holding it... and holding it... and holding it

And is that a bad thing? Look at the 1v1.... Orange had 39 wins and then lost and now the belt has passed hands several times!


Plus a point you might see better:

If there are two 2v2 belts then the pool of players to play them will be limited. People cant play both so they will have to choose.


Besides, lets some I was a mediocre average player (which I am). Lets also say I and my Teamate are on a 15 win streak. Are yall gonna flip out and demand I go to the elite?
