Just wondering what the community thinks about blacklisting other players. I've played games where people threaten to blacklist because another player boots them or won't surrender when they ask.

Personally, I think blacklisting for these reasons is a total jabroni move.

I will only blacklist players if they are racist, homophobic, or have an annoyingly long name.

Agreed, nothing says your more of a pussy than blacklisting someone. Well except for the aforementioned reasons.

blacklisting is totally appropriate if they're being childish, trolling, intentionally delaying a won game, or they're in the Wolves/Falcons/After dark/poon crew clans

Black listing is claiming that you are not willing to play or communicate with that player; and it is up you where your tolerance level is (racist or annoying etc).
It is your choice; nobody see it anyway..

2: when you have broken every bonus they own and they use their army supply to run around the map, I will blacklist them because they are intentionally delaying the game.

What if the player who is winning doesn't move in time and gets booted? I've seen it happen before and people win because they didn't give up. It's like Rudy eventually making the squad at Notre Dame.

That's called being an asshole and it's why I have your clan blacklisted.

What do you mean? If anything the asshole is the guy who can't move in time and keeps the rest of the players waiting all day long. I mean in that case the boot time was 12 hours, more than enough time to make a move considering how often most people check their smartphones

I blacklist for a variety of reasons.

I blacklisted spam clan leaders who send me invites to their clans. Seriously, if you don't have the time to read my clan page and realize I would never join your clan, I really don't want to hear from you.

I blacklist people who join my team in tournaments and don't read that I reserved the team for clan mates in the chat.

If you don't want to be blacklisted, try thinking of others around you. What is their perception of you and what have you done to create that perception? If you are not a good player, fine. That is not blacklist material for me. But if you disrespect me in some way, that is a quick way on my blacklist.

delaying a won game isnt a good arguement.
once in a game i had 1300 income and 1 on 1 won against someone with 3k income
and I WON.
well, i wouldve, but just when i was about to kill them, they booted me... a-holes. thats a reason to blacklist.

Then it wasn't a won game, was it? When you look at the history, like an intelligent person does when they try to improve their game, and you see a person running around the map with one territory because theyre a sore loser, that's a blacklist moment.

For once I gotta agree with lawlz.

On ladder it gets REALLY annoying if people do that. When you have clearly lost, it is only polite to surrender.

Game 7 of the 2013 Stanley Cup playoff series against Toronto looked like a losing game for the Bruins. Down by 3 with less than 10 min to go, down by 2 with under 3 to go. But they made the game changing decision to pull their goalie and take a chance. They won in overtime.

Warlight works the same way. If you give up, you'll always lose. But if you keep trying, sometimes you'll pull off a game changing play and come out on top.

I have also blcklisted the asshole from my team (Megatomi alias Meganoob) that has joined tournament and got booted in every match (3 times!) (this bastard is 27 lvl has 60% boot rate so I'd strongly recomend to you all to blacklist him):

Blacklisting them because they lasted 17 turns instead of like 10 seems a bit unnecessary. Two of their players got booted, maybe they thought one of you guys wouldn't move in time and then thinngs would even out a bit. Can't you just be happy you won, and respect the fact that they kept fighting til the end?

I get blacklisted a lot because my clan usually wins our games we are 46-4 last time i checked. People are sore losers and blacklist us. Is that justice? Its a dumb system and is detrimental to the game. It really does make matchmaking take forever.
