Not posting to uservoice because low visibility.

Surrenders should be allowed whenever. Currently surrenders on the first turn are denied on the first turn on all QM games.

If the game is from QM origin, the surrender should be allowed but the player should be informed on how to disable the template or have the template disabled automatically upon surrendering on the first turn.

I'd rather a player surrender on first turn than waiting out the boot.

The surrender tutorial doesn't address the underling issue of giving games on templates players didn't necessary manually sign up for.

Iirc surrendering T1 is only not allowed in RT QM, but ill quickly test that to check.

EDIT: tested with https://www.warzone.com/MultiPlayer?GameID=36545722 surrender T1 in normal RT game works fine

The message telling you that you cannot surrender does included instructions for disabling QM and/or specific templates:
Out of respect for other players in this game, please play all Quickmatch games that you join. If you don't want to be in Quickmatch, or if you don't like this template, you can disable it in the Quickmatch menu. Don't surrender at the start of games since it ruins the experience for other players.

Not all players know how to get to quickmatch and players are automatically assigned games on new templates (until they've reach a high enough rank to disable it.)

The message should appear after the player has surrendered on first turn rather than disallowing that surrender.

Right, players getting overwhelmed by the QM UI is the real problem here, not the surrenders or the message.

When you show players a wall of text on a popup and a big green Play button, nobody is going to read the QM instructions, they are just going to play.

I think a mini tutorial for each element you unlock as you play QM would be more effective, both at showing how QM works and letting people know what they actually unlocked.

1) 1st visit of QM: Explain MD vs RT, explicitly ask if they want MD games Yes or No (rather than just auto enable with a text info on how to disable)

2) After unlocking SE1W: Show how to enable/disable templates. Templates still get auto enabled to force players to move away from just playing SEAD forever.

3) After unlocking your first Vote: Show how to vote, what you are voting for (you can play with the top X of templates), and how to sort templates by votes/age.

4) After unlocking the setting for Auto-Enable Templates: Show them where setting is located.

Note: in most places I said "show" and not "explain". Text gets ignored way too easily, take them to the QM menu and visually show them around.

I do understand that of course is a lot more work for Fizzer than just showing a few text popups, but I believe something like this will greatly improve the players understanding of how QM works.

Yeah, that sort of tutorial sounds like it should do the trick, if it’s implemented like the Tutorial level or Surrender Tutorial where you can only click one thing and has to be the correct one.
