It would make it way easier to find declaration of war, messages from a specific person etc.

Ctrl+F does the job for searching terms like "war".
As for reading political state of affairs ... you have to keep your notes locally

Ctrl F also doesnt help anymore, since chat now loads in pages of 200 messages at once.

If you're a member, you can call the GameFeed API with &GetChat=true which will allow you to Ctrl F all messages at once.:
