Did you sign in with Facebook or Apple and lose access to your account today?

You may have also gotten a "client out of date" message if this is the case.

These login options were removed with today's update. To regain access to your account, follow these steps:

1. Sign out, then click Sign In
2. If you have an email/password on your account, sign in with that.
3. If you have an email but no password, or forgot the password, click "Forgot password". Enter your email and you'll get a reset link that will let you set a password.
4. If you don't know the email address on your account, send email to fizzer@warzone.com for assistance.

The ability to sign in was deprecated many months ago, but it was still possible to sign in with apple/facebook. Then a couple months ago, Facebook totally broke, but Apple still worked. Now both are removed.

Yeah, would have preferred a heads up or proper error message, "client out of date" for wrong kind of login was very confusing.

I just fixed it so it won't say "client out of date" anymore. Sorry about that.

I hope it hints at instructions on how to get the account back 😅

The best I could do was a generic "error has occurred" message. If they click "submit report" it will send me a message and I'll reply to it with instructions, or if they click "show details" it will give them instructions.

indeed it will. but to save fizzy the trouble, just show the show details already. cos i'm pretty sure most people won't bother with show details since it would probably be something highly technical

That would require implementing a new type of error message into the app, and give how slow the app updates on iOS (3-4 weeks), by the time that is done its probably already too late.

Tho perhaps it wouldnt be a bad idea for Fizzer to add such a system to the next update?
