is it a public or private tournament?

You can go to tournament/past tournaments, it should appear there.

check web browser history and find it there

Public

There are several ways you can find your tournament:

1• If the tournament already started (and assuming you didnt get a free win in the first round) you should find a game of the tournament on your multi player dashboard. From that game, you can click the tournament button in the game's settings, and find your tourney.

2• You can visit your tournaments list and find the tournament in there:
On the site: Community > Tournaments
On the app: Multiplayer > Tournaments

3• You can try all tournament IDs starting at the last tournament created today, and working backwards. That way, you will eventually find https://www.warzone.com/MultiPlayer/Tournament?ID=52653
