I only really started using my phone to come on here last week, so I just recently noticed the spinner pop up for coins/powers. It only seems to come up every other day. Is it supposed to be a daily thing?

Once per day and only after you win a MP match. Go into Settings and it'll show as "available in XX hours" or "available after winning a MP match".
