After I get all techs I buy and sell from market for little extra money. Is there a amount to buy and sell for max the profit. It is past my ability to find how much.

The relationship between the buy cost and the sell price of an alloy or item in the market can be approximated to a linear relationship. The profit gained from buying and selling is then a quadratic function creating a parabola. Buying and selling 0 items will create profit of 0. Buying and selling x items so that the buy cost is equal to the sell price will also create profit of 0. The midpoint between 0 and x will create max profit due to the symmetry of the parabola shape. In other words x/2 is the optimal amount.

I’m pretty sure there’s more items between (0,x/2) compared to (x/2,x) so your way is both unintuitive as well as inaccurate. The method described by Balmybrz is (much) easier to use in-game as well as factually correct.

My way is unintuitive because it requires no intuition. It is dividing by two. It is foolproof. It is accurate enough for what I have. Honestly I have no idea where to see marginal revenue and marginal cost so my way is better for me is what I mean to say. Stop plotting my downfall by blowing smoke into my brain. I know myself. But do you?

I know I could spend 132m on copper bars before the cost of each copper bar equaled the sell price of 214. I bought 66m and after I did the price rose to 214 so I just assumed that my way worked. Maybe not I don’t know anymore. I don’t know what to think no more man. Get of mi head.
