Recently I remembered this game and came back with this lv 43 acc.
I played Custom SP games on Google Chrome for a few days.
Today I wanted to try if OperaGX will perhaps have less lag than Chrome.
(I like large maps and those take ages to process each turn)
But when I logged in on OperaGX and went to my custom game, I was greeted by a different ongoing game.
Now, I don't know the implementation details of how this game works, but I figured that you can only have 1 active custom game per account.
It has been a long while since I played this game so I don't recognise the game that is ongoing on my OperaGX browser, though the game settings do provide a date: "Date Created: 2019/08/23 23:27:06"; so it's been a while.

I'm confused how the same URL with the same account can have 2 separate ongoing games on different browsers. Does Warzone use Cookies to store custom game data?
Just to triple check I used the same URL on another Chromium browser, namely Brave. I was met with create new game options.

I guess I'm wondering a few things:
1) Is this normal / Does community know of this functionality/effect
2) Is there a way to transfer a game between browsers
3) Is there a browser that's even better at processing this game or alternatively is there some desktop app to make better use of computer resources.

Just figured I'd ask since I've not engaged with this community before and the wiki talks more about game features and misses implementation details. I'd love to read documentation if it was public. (I used to want to make a game that is visually similar but functionally very distinct which is why I was intrigued by this game when I first saw it years ago. Anyone know of "War of Prefectures"?)

Your SP games are indeed stored locally (so in the cookies for browsers/cache on mobile).

1) Yes.
2) It's in local storage. Maybe you could copy it from one browser to another manually. But IDK if anyone has tried.
3) There is a standalone app*, but said app is Member only. Not sure if it's making better use of resources (ie. it will heat your laptop lol) but it's not limited by being a browser page. Thus, doing silly stuff like watching a 40 FFA AI battle is doable.

Not an expert, but for performance you could also try firefox. Firefox does ram a bit differently then chrome, so for some use-case it's better to use that browser, in my experience.

I might try to tinker with the cookies to transfer, though it is discouraging that to your knowledge nobody has succeeded.
If the membership/purchasing of this game was a one-off payment I'd probably take advantage of that. But not really for a recurring payment especially since I play only from time to time. I've also seen something going on with COD: Warzone trying to rewrite history to sue Warzone so I'm not sure if this game will exist few months from now.
It's a real shame but what can you do.

I agree with you that thats not worth it for a few SP games.

Have you tried Multi Player already? Those games are run on the server, so they are a lot less laggy.

EDIT: You can also make a 2nd account, and create a multi player game (so it runs on the server) with 2 players and 38 AI's. If you then surrender with your alt, you can play with the 38 AI's without any lag (unless the game itself starts lagging out your browser, but if you dont have to run the AI's that should already help a lot).

Oh wow. Yeah $59 is too much for me.

I have played a bit of MP way way back when I first played this game in 2016 when it was still called Warlight.
But I don't think I played MP since before the name got changed to Warzone.

Mainly it's because I consider myself quite bad at outsmarting simple AI let alone people. I would always lose in MP.

After I stopped playing MP I played some MP with myself and like 2 other of my accounts I think (I have access to at least 1 of them). I like creating scenarios and stories since I'm so bad at pure strategy. Last time I hosted my own private MP was in Dec of 2016 according to my email inbox.
