18 games in 5 days? Are you sure you didn't put one of the months wrong?

Check it out for yourself if you don't believe it. He used to play 5 games at a time and played very fast.

I have checked it out, but how did he get so many games so quickly? I might be confusing seasonal and 1v1 ladders, but I thought you only got 1 game every day? Going into his streak with 5 would have meant his best still would have been something like 10 in 5 days, so I think I just got my ladders mixed up.

On the 1v1 ladder it gives new games every other hour, so the more you finish the more you get. This is easier with a low number of games because the system can match you with opponents easier.

The seasonal ladder is one game per day.

That is impressive, but seems like he was stalling loses as he lost 3 within 2 minutes of each other, also he had 2 games against The Impaller in a row, bit unlucky for him. Nevertheless, though he cheated the system, he did beat a number of good players.

He gamed the system when the ladder was first introduced proving how easy it was to do. A lot of people got very pissed at him and he never would have gotten so many wins in a row without gaming the system.

A very good player but not that good.

Paving the way for beelzebub and oliebol to do the exact same thing.

The extent to which Doushi gamed the system has not been replicated.

It's also a lot harder to do now because of increases in the number of games required to rank and changes in the rating system.

Are you sure? I bought membership about 8 hours ago and I already have 6 games (4 finished) on the ladder.

I read the link nich posted before, and again now, and all it says is:

Every time the ladder updates, it checks for new games to create.

It doesn't mention (as far as I am aware) anything saying every other hour, also i think when it updates it fills all your slots, not only 1 every other hour, that may be the reason i had more.

I am 100% sure I'm right. It gives new games every other hour. If there are no suitable matches for games it won't create them. Ratings update at about 7 minutes after every other even hour (where I live) and new games happen at 11 minutes after every other even hour (where I live, est time.) Every other timezone will be the same as me, and the others will be on the odd hours.

You are right, it say the "every other hour" part on the main ladders page on the wiki. Every time it updates it does ratings and then tries to match you up to as many available opponents as it can (up to your maximum games at a time)
