Methods of joining:

The easiest way to join this tournament is to post here. You will be thrown into my invite list directly, and be thrown into the total count of participants. This will help me gauge how many people will be playing and how big to make the tournament.

There are two other ways to join. I will be making a "Lobby" to test whether or not the participants signed up are active. This will show up in the tourney listings. So either you can be invited to it, or join it outright.

Lobby:

Even if you post here and get thrown on my invite list your spot is not guaranteed. You have to prove to me you're on at that time. I will be inviting everyone I know on Warlight into this "Lobby", and to guarantee your spot you must join that tourney.

Q/As

Q: What happens if we don't get a nice number of people that would make the brackets logical?

A: Everyone who joined the Lobby will be thrown into the actual tournament, if the number of people is greater than the bracket, then it becomes a contest of joining fastest.

Q: Who hosts the stream or tournament if none of the hosts can?

A: Unfortunately no one. This is the reason we went a month only having a single tournament each week. We're always looking for new hosts, though!

Q: I don't have a great voice and speak English terribly, but I do want to help the analysis, how do I do so?

A: Add Mythonian or one of the commentators on Skype. We all have Skype up during the tourney and can get your thoughts conveyed.

Q: I signed up, but I'm not getting invited. Why?

A: Message Mythonian or someone on Skype.

Tournament Results and Player Stats:

Stats are done for the first 10 Livestreamed 1v1 Tournaments! Check them out here: http://goo.gl/glWHm (choose "1v1s" or "PlayerStats" at the bottom)

I went ahead and called all the stats for the first 10 tournaments and then did a quick setup of the total games, wins, losses, and win percentage for everyone who played in those first tournaments. As I get time over the next few days I'll be finishing calling the data for the rest of the 1v1s and adding more stats (suggestions for stats are welcome as well). :)

There is an issue with this: People changing their names won't be automatically detected by the system unless I were to have it refresh with the WarLight servers periodically (which I'd prefer avoid doing), so if you change your name and want accurate stats, TELL ME so I can fix it manually!! (also, this won't group stats from Alt accounts unless you tell me to manually adjust it)

1v1: strategic greece ladder but with 16% weighted luck?
2v2: battle for middle earth (no city bonuses and with ladder 2v2 settings: ie, use the auto game and then just change the map and the city bonuses)?

unknown and saladin might play if it is battle for middle earth. they both like that map more than almost every other map.

How do we know they even read this and care to attend?
I hate this map like non other, except for poland maybe, but if they would team up and play for sure, i would be okay with it.

i have no time for 1v1, make what you want :)

just a suggestion. i don't really care. i'm not able to play these things anyway. by rounds 2 and 3 my head is dizzy with fatigue and sleep deprivation. to play would be punishment.

the best templates are probably sze's player championship templates. land and sea baby!

1v1 SE Asia + Oceania? I think that was used once before, it is a nice change and a decent template. We could try and do one of the season settings? One of the older ones would be fun, e.g. Season I, II, III, IV and VI. Looking back in the blog these seem to be decent settings, though some members may feel bored of the settings now, especially with the random distribution one.

Well, 1v1 Small earth and 2v2 Gurioma maybye?

Small earth would be cool ahah.. also, do you still upload all the streams on youtube or somewhere else?

on small earth you need to say settings with it I think cause it's such a small map.
I hear guiroma much last weeks so maybe interesting to play.
personally i can maybe compete again in the 1v1 like i did last week but i won't count on it.

This is an example of that template. It's interesting.

Could you please add more stats or let me edit the document? Like tournament win % (number of tournament wins/participations), favourite teammate, who did you lose most to, who did you win most against, game win % for people with 10 game cutoff, provisional glicko rating etc. etc. Possibilities with that great data import are endless and Fizzer seeing this might make similar stats to ladder (possibly he might consider even your calculating method with boot/bye exclusion).
