i agree, and even a hybrid car is a good step in the right direction

ban cars in cities, the average American spends over 5000$ a year on cars, imagine the public infrastructure you could get for only 1000$ a year
+ cars are slower than public infrastructure in cities

cars are important for america, but yes ban them in Europe and get rid of those ugly Peugeots. I swear to god that french have the ugliest cars in existence

well u have to realize that there is a huge population that doesnt live in cities... accessibility is huge. why would i get a tesla when the closest charging station is 300 miles away? xD


its nice to dream but you have to take small steps at a time, like make it illegal to make new cars that arent ATLEAST hybrid, would be a good step. forces companies to look into the electric car market and eventually all gas cars will become obsolete. you can't just make it illegal to drive gas cars

i love by 1995 ford f150 that is rusted out from top to bottom and gets maybe 9 mpg, try cutting off the exhaust of your favorite truck, so everyone else can hear you drive it and love it as much as you do

tacky you do realise that Tesla's can be charged at your home? so by thr time you are ready for commute in the morning, your car is charged. also united states has some of the highest number of electric charging stations in the world, they would be slow compared to superchargers but they work. this tesla argument is rubbish given that several thousand people already use it daily in those regions

@loxiiv Clio does look great, they finally made progress in design. I don't like how small cars are in europe compared to america or other parts of the world.

In order to ban gas, alternative energy must be as accessible and ready as gas is. Same is said for cars. The US society requires cars, so if you want to ban gas cars, electric cars must be available and affordable to the masses, otherwise society will collapse. European countries (and I think Japan) have public transportation in every municipality, and between them. It will be easier for them to ban gas cars. The US does not.
