Well ska i love the game homefront and i was just saying lol... a unified korea will be a massive superpower alot stronger then japan i think (which south korea alrady is)
Elroi, a democratic republic blends features of democracy and Republicanism to make a system that either runs like a dream or gets horribly abused corrupted. USA's electoral college system is am example of corruption/abuse.
A unified Korea in this economic climate would destroy stability in the region, there's not a major power in the world that's ready or willing to deal with such a situation.
Anyone who's studied the German unification will get what I'm aiming at, with Korea it will be 10x worse because unlike North Korea, East Germany was getting hundreds of millions of dollars in aid each year from the BRD (West Germany) and the USA before it was unified (and it was still chaos).
The US can barely pay their own police and security forces, I wonder how they'd help South Korea cope with the unification process. South Korea could ask China I guess, if they're willing to sell their soul in the process. Well, China is the rising power, might be worth greasing their relationship a bit, I don't see the US making a comeback anytime soon...
X, sure putting more pressure on North Korea might help the regime to collapse, but they might risk a last pitch and invade South Korea. I mean, if you think that's a good idea, at least practice what you preach and fight on the front line with our Korean brothers. I'll light a candle for you when you get fragged by your comrades on the way to battle.
