Im not sure what bias you are talking about Mablung...Do Lynx or Blitz have a vested interest in any of those clans?

My qualm is that Warlighters and Master should get votes but did not, while Lynx got votes but shouldn't.

It makes very little sense to me that season 5 group A teams should vote for season 6 when it's the season 6 group A clans that proved themselves the prior season. How is Lynx more important than Warlighers in this situation?

Anyway I'm not considering this resolved yet. If 3 of 5 on the council tell me to stfu I will :P But that hasn't happened yet.

(Edit) For clarification, these are the votes that were tallied: Apex, WG, WM, GG, AHoL, 20, Lynx. (I think Master may have been asked but they did not submit votes? Not sure.)

Pushover, lynx had every right to vote. Chris and I decided that it would give extra incentive to the clans in lower leagues that if they won their respective group, they would get a vote in the templates for next season. 20 won group b so they also got a vote. The remaining five were taken from the top five finishers in group a.

Not to mention, none of the votes were even close; these templates won by a large margin. To out this into perspective, lets say for the sake of the argument that all new group a clans should receive votes, with the tiebreaker being the only clan to win their division that did not receive a vote. That would mean replacing lynx votes with warlighters votes and making lynx's a tiebreaker. The fact is, no matter what the warlighters vote, the templates will remain the same. So it is utterly pointless for them to vote.

Also, if Chris, the clan league leader, says something is done, it's done. I've run many events and people will complain about every decision. Sometimes it just takes an executive decision to end petty discussions that will just waste time and most likely give the same results.

@Jefferspin, well what if either a Lynx or Blitz leader personally didn't like some members in a clan? Or was friends with other members in another clan?

If you did everyone in B, that would be more balanced I think, one clan couldn't influence the decision. Based on my theory of how 2 C divisions would work, being the rated 2nd or 3rd would make your life a lot harder than being ranked 1st (because 2nd and 3rd would in the same C division, while the 1st would have to worry about the 4th ranked).

(From the first post) We are currently voting on templates for the next league (all teams in A for next season (1), plus division B/C winners get 1 vote (2)).
This means that the following should get votes...
(1) Apex, WG, WM, GG, AHoL/Master (Whichever one doesn't demote), 20, and Warlighters
(2) 20 and Lynx, technically (but not really) Warlighters/Blitz

Warlighters? Definitely. Master? Only if they beat AHoL, in which case AHoL shouldn't. Lynx? Well, they did win division C...

As for the c/d dilemma, here is my thinking. All group a and b clans rate the clans in c in order (10 for best, 1 for worse, etc.) . The clans can then be ranked by that. Each division winner will move to b next season, 2-4 in each will be allowed to stay in c, while d next season will be the low finishers and new clans. Please don't ever go above division d though, because it will take too long for new clans to reach group a.

To simplify: why should Lynx get a vote but Warlighters not get a vote? That is the main question I'm bringing up in the council.

I'm just trying to be transparent. If I'm overruled I'm overruled. But I haven't been overruled yet.

I agree that Warlighters should be voting since they got promoted to A. I am getting their votes and Master in case they beat out AHol (which BTW, Master was asked to vote and still hasn't). IF they make a difference I will update the templates. most likely they won't but it is still technically possible a template could be changed if Master votes different than AHol and Warlighters votes different as well.

[20] Won Group B an gets a vote. Lynx won Group C and gets a vote. I agree. {Warlighters took 2nd in Group B and gets a vote. WHY doesn't Blitz get a vote????

Blitz took 2nd in Group C.

The leader of BR FUDEW is currently ill. I have talked to some of their clan members and him; they want to compete next season. If you want their line up I think that the clan league leaders should try and help out BR's leader and ask the members who might be playing.......

Lynx's vote has actually been taken away now.

As it should be. The vote was by Group A clans from what I heard from multiple posts. Including C's winner seems ridiculous to me.. Pushover does have a point too. If you want a Council you need to consult the Council. You can't have one and maintain your dictatorship, unless of course the Council is only for a few specific issues (which would need to be made clearer - Pushover seems confused about it!)

Also Turtle, it is not for the Clan League organisers to organist lineups themselves. It's down to the Br clan to muster up a lineup.

Template voting has been resolved to the council's satisfaction. :) Chris sums it up nicely in his last reply.

In any case, it will take some time for Season 5 to finish, so we'll have plenty of time to get Season 6 ready.

Master voted and so did Warlighters. The templates will not change from what I posted above. A couple more clans signed up, I will update the list on page 1 now.

Also, Arun is correct. Not only is it not up to the committee to get a clan's team together (how would that even work since I know maybe a couple of their players), it seems like a conflict of interest to assist a particular clan. That would be like us training a particular clan to help them win. If the leader is ill, it is up to the other clan members to organize something. Only thing we can do it let other members know about the league. If I do not hear from the leader, I invite other clan members to the chat game so they know about it too. Fridge also sent mail out. So they have been alerted in 3 ways (forums, chat game, mail). We can't do any more than that really.

I think the FBG clan would like a shot at this, so count us in if we can join
