To compliment Dom365's game, which I really enjoyed, I have decided to run a roughly similar game, but a lot more complex.
HAD TO CHANGE A LOT FOR OVERALL BALANCE.
GENERAL RULES:
1. Votes have to be made in separate posts, away from the general discussion.
2. Missing the voting twice means immediate death.
3. Votes can be changed at any time up until the deadline is reached.
4. Dead chat is forbidden.
5. No private messaging for the neutral team. Anyone caught dies immediately.
6. No alts.
GAME PHASES:
Daytime (3 days at all times) - Everyone can discuss everything in the thread, public voting on who to lynch takes place. Mafias can discuss in private.
Nighttime (1 days at all times) - Everyone can discuss everything in the thread. Mafias can discuss in private. Night kills and abilities take place.
ROLES:
Mafia;
Mademan: Opposing wiseguy. As a group the mademen should send a PM to the GM stating which unlucky player gets shot during nighttime. You are detected as a mafia.
Wiseguy: Opposing mademan. As a group the wiseguys should send a PM to the GM stating which unlucky player gets shot during nighttime. You are detected as a mafia.
Neutral;
Innocent: You are an innocent. You appear as a neutral.
Friend: You’re just a group of random innocents that know each other. You appear as neutral.
Detective: Each night you can PM the GM with a target to detect their alignment; innocent or mafia. The idiot will always detect you as a neutral.
Hero: Each night you PM the GM with a person you want to protect, not including yourself. You appear as a neutral.
Prostitute: Each night you PM the GM with person who's ability you want to block, includes the witness card if played and mafias vote for the night. You appear as neutral.
Idiot: You’re so clueless it's almost cute. You get told you’re the detective, so you can send in a detection every night to the GM, but you're so stupid that you’ll get a random result (I'll flip a coin). You appear as a neutral.
ABILITIES:
Everyone gets a (one-time) witness card to use during night.
Witness: When played in nighttime, you see all the actions made during that night (no names).
Example of a witness report:
Detective detects a neutral.
Wiseguys shoot the detective.
Hero saves a neutral.
Prostitute blocks a mafia.
Mademen don't shoot anyone.
Idiot detects a neutral.
The public will know who (no name) played the card but won't get the information.
Example of a public night report for the same night:
Friend was a witness.
*insert name* dies. He was a neutral (only the one who used the witness card would know that a detective died).
Example when a mafia dies:
*insert name* dies. He was a mafia (aside from both mafia sides, only the one who used the witness card would know whether he was a mademan or a wiseguy).
GAME RULES:
1. In case of a tie, no one dies (applies for both lynch votes and mafias night kill votes).
2. Hero can't save himself at all, nor the same player more than once.
3. Prostitute CAN block the same player more than once.
4. Both mafia teams know the identity of the idiot, but the idiot doesn't know the identity of the mafias.
5. Detective/idiot reports are private.
6. In case of a death, alignment is revealed, not the team or role.
7. Missing a lynch vote will make you unable to take any actions on the following night (mafia vote, abilities, witness card).
8. Every mafia has to participate in the night voting, if even one can't (due to prostitute block, not voting on lynch, inactivity) that specific mafia team kills no one.
9. Witness reports are private, sharing it with anyone (includes fellow mafias) will mean immediate death.
