Also it says TV with all channels and premium package, does that include on demand content (rendering TV/Movies worthless).

Also, lets assume the skylight does not shine on my TV, that would be torture.

Why would you take the 40 point deal? Why be stuck in there for 10 years with no reward?

An Interesting question in which it would be more fun to read I suppose if people gave an argument as to why they chose what they chose.

For me the first thing I see as an observation is that in essence it boils down to wanting to have luxury there or money afterwards. Personally I don't care that much for money by itself, but since the 5 point bonus isn't such a great thing (not worth 5M maybe) I'll see what I can do with 30 and maybe consider the 35 and 40 based on what I'm still lacking for those 10 years.

Although the house is reasoned to be fully furnished this actually is not the case.
Any forms of entertainment seem to be missing and thus at least a form of entertainment needs to be bought.
Furthermore 10 years of being on your own will drive a person to lunacy so a form of company must be acquired. This can be digital or real. Person(s) or a dog.
You'll also need to have some food. For the food there are various options once again.
Finally you'll also need someway to stay fit and in shape.

For me personally having a healthy selection of food is important. Fastfood and microwave meals are fine for a change but continiously for 10 years will waste my body away. Don't really mind cooking myself so won't need the chef for that. My choice goes to the 6 points for the kitchen (all inclusive)

Now if I would want to go for the money I have 30-6 = 24 points left.

Entertainment wise it gets a bit trickier. Multiple of these things do not posses an entertainment value on their own. What use is pc games without a pc to play it and vice versa. What use are video's and movies without a tv to play them with ??
So if you would want the pc with games or the tv with movies you're already at 10 and 11 points respectively. That's quite steep.
Cheaper alternatives are the pool table (1), library with all books (4) and surround system with music (4). Personally I don't see the use of a pool table when on your own, it gets boring quickly.
So after having given it some due consideration I will go for the Library with all books (4) + surround system with music (4).

This leaves me with 24-4-4=24-8=16 points. Just 16 points left, already getting quite hard to survive here.
If I wanted the 18 year old stunning girl (sort of sexist in its suggestion since if I were a straight girl that would already be way less alluring for me with regards to the sexual part)this would not be possible without giving up minimally half of the ten million dollars. As I'm bisexual for me that doesn't exclude it yet. On the other hand I already have a gf and I'm not a cheater so I wouldn't want to do that other girl anyway.
Personally I would like a person not for the sex in itself but just for other human company there. Gave some thoughts to it until I figured out the "18 year old stunning girl" has to be a whore or an escort girl (fancy word for a whore). For me I wouldn't want people who stay with me just because they're paid to do so, activity being sexual or not.
When the 18 points would mean I could bring in a friend of mine or my gf I would sign for this right away, but that's not the option there is.

Having excluded the hooker/whore/call girl for company I am left with Barry Bonds (who the fuck is he?), a mobile phone, internet (would probably need a computer for that)and a pet.
Internet would cost me 22 points (16+6), WAYYYYYYY too expensive. Furthermore most internet actions require a temporary stash for streaming/downloading making internet without any free space sort of useless already.
Don't need Barry Bonds.
A pet would cost 6. That in itself might be a good deal but how do you feed him or walk him ? That doesn't seem to be explained here. Seemingly you don't get pet + all required stuff. They might eat together from my kitchen but for littering I would need at least the garden along with it (2).
Mobile phone is a given if I want to stay in contact with family and friends.
Giving it due consideration I've decided to go for a dog (6), mobile phone (3) and the garden (2). Would be nice to have such a place anyway and it's needed for the dog to have some space to walk + litter himself.

My total spare amount is now 16-6-3-2=16-11=5

With these 5 credits I'll need to make sure my health is sort of maintained well.
I have the options of a workout room (5) and/or a medical health care system (2 or 3).
Personally I like to fitness a lot and imaging myself to be crammed into a living area for 10 years would make the prospect of working out that much more alluring. I will take this for certain!
With regards to the medical care I find it hard to imagine how that would go? If I had complaints would they fly me to the place themselves (thus allowing me contact with other people and extra room during the transport), whether it being Delhi or the US. Not sure it's like this so I expect for the sake of argument the doctor would come to your place, give you the check ups there (since you're stuck in the basement) and medication if needed. More extensive medical testing or diagnostics will be impossible unless they have implemented MRI's and CT's in the basement.
Seeing as I'm 21 now and never had any health problems I don't expect this to really be an issue in the coming 10 years. Apart from the occasional paracetamol from headaches I won't be needing their treatment anyway.
So....for finalizing this part I've agreed to go for the Workout room all inclusive(5)

With this last purchase my last credit has been spent. Is there anything I am still missing right now ?
Well actually there is!
To have an inkling for the passing of time and to get some much wanted sunlight I'll need to go for a skylight (2)

Seeing as I've now already spent 32 I will have to pay 50% of my promised 10 million anyway. This means that I will have 3 extra credits to spare.

Regarding the fact that ten years is a long time and an appartment/basement needs regular maintenance I'll have to go for the unmissable hygiene products (5) to top the credits up to 35.

Finally...I ask myself the question if there is still something which would make me consider giving up the other 5 million dollars. I'm not into drugs, alcohol and/or smoking so those are a no go. Bullet with a pistol for suicide seems a bit useless so no.
Coming to think of it, the remaining options don't hold any further appeal to me.

Concluding this is what I'll take and I'll use the remaining 5 million dollars to sort of get my life back on the rails after I'm released after those 10 years. Will not need more then 1 million (a hefty amount in itself) for that so the other 4 million will go to charity.

There.....that's the way I would spend the credits + money and my considerations during the process :D :)

Hygiene products are 3 btw, not 5.
Leaving my total credit amount up to 35.

Just realized I get a yacuzi with the hygiene. Would be a nice extra :P

Full Kitchen : 6
TV : 7
Computer : 6
Booz : 5
Workshop : 6

reasoning: Kitchen = any food I want. TV = pass time. Computer (w/o internet) = programming for fun. Booz = .....drink-eat-drink-sleep. Workshop = I can make anything else I need/want, including exercise equipment, speakers, games, etc.

There are a couple things on the list I feel would be a terrible idea, like a pet....for ten years.....that you have to take care of in a small room? And a "full kitchen" would include a microwave. Those two should be replaced with unlimited Legos and Energy Drinks respectively.

I have no idea who you think you're addressing these questions to guys, because I certainly don't give a fuck. Best answer so far; sasha grey's.

Mayo clinic doctor: health is very important and hes someone else to interact with. 3
Hottie: I know the perfect girl. 21
Full Kitchen: I love cooking and I could read recipe books all day and night. 27
Phone: So I don't lose my mind

For me this would be a step up in standard of living in many ways.

Pretty sure that's not the way it works. How would you make games and/or music ??
Speakers...maybe, but with no music it would be useless.
Excercise equipment could be possible but you'll have to cram these things into a much smaller area for you don't get the room.

Think in this telling the workship is meant as a form of way to spend your time and/or try to be like a new Edison/Leonardo da Vinci.

Having done this for 3 months at a time on a submarine, I would like to think that my opionins carry weight :)

Full Kitchen - 6 (total 6) -I'll have lots of time, why not learn to cook? I'm sure I could become the worlds top chef after 10 years.
Skylight - 2 (8) - anyone not putting this on their list has no idea what they're talking about.
Girl - 18 (26) - but only if I get to lock her up ala the Gimp in Pulp Fiction, and she stays hot and 18 for 10 years. I don't want to have to deal with her BS otherwise. I'll trade her for a new girl every year so she can stay 18. Also, who needs exercise equipment then?
Library - 4 (30) - All the Law School Books you could want!
Garden - 2 (32) - My own Walden.
Phone - 3 (35) - So my "people" can manage my "estate" for me through Power of Attorney/my guidance, and I won't go too crazy. I assume that I can do more that just talk on this phone, as it shows an IPhone. by activated, I assume it interacts with the local 3G/4G networks and I can download apps, etc.

Now, where do I sign up for my $500k per year "job"?

@Aranka "not the way it works"? It's called working outside the box. Unlimited tools and supplies means I can make whatever. Area could be a problem, but I'd also use the workshop to make a way to organize shit, like hanging it from the wall. Speakers I could make, and I didn't take music, but I did take the TV, so I could just make a sound system. By games I meant small games and puzzles like what were used in the past.

The point of this is to figure out ways to get the most out of your points, using the workshop to make exercise equipment seems like EXACTLY what it wants you to do. seriously though, I'll drop the workshop if I can have unlimited Legos, I could make ANYTHING with Legos.

So, you're telling me you'd give up the ability to communicate to the outside world and to see sun for 10 years for a measly $5M?

Neither one is worth that.

As I prefaced my post... spent 3 months at a time when the only sunlight I had was what I could see for 4 hours at a time through a periscope hole while spinning in circles looking for ships that could run me over....

You NEED sunlight.

Well, the room/basement does come with a Toilet, so obviously it can be used.

Anyway...

Full Kitchen (6, 6/30) - I don't really want airflown gourmet food, no matter how good it is, so might as well cook myself...
Stock Market (7, 13/30) - If I'm going to make money, I'm going to risk it all :D
Skylight (2, 15/30) - Should be useful.
Surround System (4, 19/30) - No music for 10 years will drive me crazy.
Library (4, 23/30) - I'm going to be bored, might as well read.
Mayo Clinic Doctor (3, 26/30) - I don't trust myself to stay healthy, you know?
Hygiene Products (3, 29/30) - ... and I might as well stay clean.
Gun, 3 Bullets (1, 30/30) - If all else fails...

I doubt I'm going to do this though.

Uh, there is a trash chute. So getting rid of waste isn't a problem, I'm just wondering whether someone else is walking the dog outside or I have to pick up shit for 10 years.

Workshop does require more explanation. It says industrial tools (I assume a normal wood/metal shop), but what kind of supplies/materials? Unlimited? You could probably make a pool table then, but not video games. Also, you'd want the internet or library or you'd have a hard time figuring out how to make everything (and probably lose some fingers in the process).
