I am color blind. I am both red/green and blue/violet color blind, and I'm having a massive problem with the draft extra armies icon. I've always had this issue, but I've never said anything.

The icon shoots out shockwaves, but when it isn't, it is nearly impossible for me to find, especially on a large map. I hope it isn't intentionally like this . . . anyway. It is the exact same colors (to me) as the colors of the taken territories and boundaries. I've changed the color preference, but it changed with it, so that was of no help. I take it the background is the color of the taken territory and doesn't change. It probably should.

I noticed a change in the colors of the upgrade tech section. I don't know if this were intentional to address the issue with color blind people, but it was appreciated, nevertheless.

Could you maybe change the icon to tap to draft extra armies? It's just miserable trying to find it when you can't differentiate it by color, and so much so that I just ignore it half the time. Maybe make it a contrasting color to the color chosen for taken territories. If your chosen color is red, then make the icon blue . . . but a dark, rich blue that doesn't blend in with the landscape or territory lines. Maybe just make it jet black. Make it something that sticks out to everyone. It would be much more enjoyable if I were able to find it without zooming in 100% to see the hand with the gun because that's the only way I can do it when it isn't shooting the shockwaves.

I understand it's a cool icon with a hand and a gun, but for utilitarian purposes, a jet black square would work better.

This affects 8% of Caucasian males, 3% of Hispanic and Asian males, and 2% of black males. That's a significant enough portion of people playing the game to warrant a change . . . in my opinion, of course. I'm just trying to say, there are more of us than you might think.

It is only a bug to a small percentage of people, so it's not technically a bug.

It is an accessibility issue; I think most people would agree to call it a bug. Creating a forum thread is less likely to get attention than reporting it as a bug to Fizzer, since bug reports go directly to Fizzer's inbox.

Could you go ahead and file a bug to Fizzer that just says "Draft Icon is not colorblindness-friendly. See thread https://www.warzone.com/Forum/538077 for details"?

That way we can make sure Fizzer takes a look at the thread and knows about the issue. I hope it gets fixed, because it sounds like a real pain to have to try and find that invisible draft icon.

I'm not colourblind and it can still be annoying to find on large maps, especially ones where there is a long cheaper route.

Also, Tortmonger, just because you aren't effected doesn't mean it isn't a bug. That's like saying it's not a bug if there's a 1 in a million chance to play a QM with x1000 income. Chill out.

Tortmonger is affected; he made this thread. There's just some confusion as to what qualifies as a bug, because I think DanWL's comment was misinterpreted as someone being overly technical ("autistic") about reporting a bug instead of making a forum thread.

Yes, Tort. The best way to get this addressed is to attract Fizzer's attention. He might not see it if it's just a thread, so I went ahead and reported a bug to him with a link to this thread. So we can end this little discussion about the "report bug" button and focus on the issue itself, like you said.

I have Ass Burger's, so I feel I have every right to call something "autistic." I apologize if that bothers people and isn't politically correct.

I have difficulty with political correctness because it is based out of emotion, not logic.

The draft icon is hard to find, even without colorblindnes.

As suggested in this thread, having the draft territory take a players 2nd color would be a nice touch.

On top of that, I would also like to see the pingrings from the draft be thicker so i can more easily see them.

Combining both should make the draft a lot more visable to everyone!

Or just make a button "collect draft" somewhere in the corner or inside army camps tab. :D
