Chomsky is a bore, but he is the most brilliant political analyst this world has for the time being. He is always spot on in his analysis and he read more raw data then any of us will ever see in our lifetime.
If you believe that a superpower that only serves the plutocrats, topples democracies, kills and economically enslaves millions , is in your interest, its fine.

Maybe you are one of the lucky 1% that own half of the worlds wealth.

But for everyone else, thats not the way to go.

What you fail to see is that it is the USA that doesnt want the establishment of international institutions that could make a difference, such as the International Court of Justice.
You believe the USA is democracy? Its a plutocracy and if you havent realized that by now, you are as blind as the ignorant americans you claim you are different from.

Choombi, again, the greatest enemy of knowledge is not ignorance, but the illusion of knowledge.

why insult?

You have this illusion of knowledge in abundance. You have absolutely no clue of what is going on in the world.
The USA has in history supported more dictators than Russia and continues to do so. Get your facts right.

forgive me for believing mainstream media and Wikipedia.

I could provide you with some lectures of Noam Chomsky again, but i am sure you wont even look at them.

touche

I recommend "The war on democracy" a prize winning documentation by John Pilger instead.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HuRTBoalIKs

come on, we have gone over that subject

Some recent examples of dictators, terrorist groups or authoritarian regimes supported by the USA in the middle east alone:

notice the word "supported", not "supports", who cares about what happened 20 years ago?

The Taliban, sponsored by the USA in order to defeat and kill Ahmed Shah Massoud a pro democratic force in Afghanistan.

when exactly? i remember that time when USA supported some terrorists in Afghanistan because they had some silly notion communism is inherently evil, NOWDAYS, they regret that so so so horribly, so they are forgiven

Al Qaida groups (among them ISIS), sponsored by the USA in order to overthrow Assad in Syria.

1.Assad SUCKS, he's a good definition of the cliche evil dictator(Qaddafi beats him though)
2.indirectly, they mainly support the Syrian liberation army, which the secular force in Syria, the fact that some of it goes to terrorists is the main reason they don't send 10x more support

The Saud family, ruthless dictatorship in Saudi Arabia.

fair enough

The Egyptian military, sponsored by the USA to keep Egypt under US influence.

didn't they ask the military to resign after the latest coup? it's not like the cheered or anything, yeah, they support them, but that is because if they don't, Russia will.

Reza Pahlavi, sponsored by the USA in order to overthrow the democraticly elected government of Iran.

that was 40 years ago(or more)!

Sadam Hussein, sponsored by the USA in order to control the oil of Iraq and wage a war against Iran.

you forgot the part when they declared war on him

The UAE, dictatorship.
Kuwait, dictatorship.
Bahrain, dictatorship.
Yemen, dictatorship.

fine, fine, fine, fine

And of course Israel, which is a matter of its own.

Israel, is of course inherent evil....[sigh] NO, NO NOT GETTING INTO THIS AGAIN.
And again this is not a full list.

you forgot Israel....and FRANCE

and Russia supports goddamn north Korea, which qualifies for "world's evilest country" by just about everyone's books, they also equally support about half of what you named up there, namely all the Arab dictators, and did i mention they are homophobic? this little issue needs to be addressed, god damn it

Choombi, thanks for making some senseible arguments, but I suggest you save your keystrokes, because I'm not going to waste my time responding to some paranoid who believes that the USA is country and culture dedicated to taking over the world and subduing all other people to their own needs. As I said, myhand, like it or not, the USA is the cornerstone of the world's economy, culture and innovation and the other nations of the world would implode if the USA were to be taken off the map.

A. The USA is not its people. The plutocracy in the USA does that, not the clueless idiots that vote for Pepsi or Coca Cola every 4 years.
B. The USA has been a cornerstone in the world's economy much due to direct and indirect inventerventionalism. Extortion ARC, extortion.
C. Culture and innovation in other nations of the world is thriving. Its not the 60s anymore. The USA is in decline, industrially , economically and culturally.

According to the globalinnovationindex report 2014, the USA might still be on the 6th place (innovation efficiency 57th) and China only ranking 29th (innovation efficiency 2nd), but if you look at education, you will find China at 1st place education overall. How long do you think it will take until it translates directly into innovation?

For comparison, in 2008 the USA ranked 1st overall and China was on rank 37.

Interestingly the plutocracy of the USA has already understood that, you just didnt yet. Maybe you have to wait until you get it told on CNN, NBC, Fox or whatever. The reason for the growing indepence of South American countries can be partly attributed to the shift of intelligence service activity from almost everywhere (including South America) towards China to face what they perceive as a massive danger to their world hegemony.

to clarify stuff, I'm not American, I'm an 15 years old Israeli without any formal education on the matter, also, I'm not fat, I'm under-weight(although I'm pretty sure the fat American comment was directed to lawlz)

i hate to argue on details and facts, it's disputable, biased to the extreme, anyone can find the facts he like, there are sites out there dedicated to find statistics/personal stories(which are worse than statistics, those are unintentionally biased) to prove that Islam is taking over the world/china is taking over the world/Illuminati is real/there are aliens/all of the aforementioned are idiots

i generally take all those sites as complete bullshit, I'd rather argue with simple logic, ignore little details(the big picture is what matters), i don't really know much, i snatch the details that seem important, and i damn remember them, and i put a puzzle from them.

Lawlz, do us all a favor and shut the hell up, Pulsey, you got down to his level, so that goes for you too

Master ARC, thank ye for the support, i shall take the advice and get the hell out of this forum :P

This new Obama is a weak president Matav only destroys the US Foreign Affairs.
He refers to the forgiveness of terrorism and gave it all one step (eg murder Hsgrirm Libya)
It is clear that China and Russia will take advantage of it, they know that Obama is a weak president and a wimp.
He did not stop any rule of a tyrant or terrorist countries are taking advantage of it.
And most Islamic terrorism sponsored by Saudi Arab Amrit consolidation and Qatar.
For example Arab finance Das.
If it was more serious than all the world would not give a damn about the United States ... he just wants his family golf vacation, guy joke.

"He did not stop any rule of a tyrant or terrorist countries are taking advantage of it. "

Someone tell Gaddafi and Laurent Gbagbo about that.
