Alts are everywhere. My own existence attests to this.

My thought is, why not create an alts-only clan? It's a simple idea, really; when an account is exposed as an alt, or a person wants to have a sheltered home for one of his alts, let's put it in a clan of like-minded individuals. The identity of the alt's owner would, of course, be kept anonymous.

I personally don't have enough money on me to create a clan for this, but I would be willing to co-lead. I also would like to extend a warm invitation to Namib, half of the Max Troll clan, the entirety of the Young Money Cash Money clan, Math Wolf, Sanitation Engineer, admiRED, Mr. Region X, Green, approximately two-thirds of the XS clan, and others. P.S if I might humbly suggest, we name it "The Altoids."

That sounds like an interesting idea, but if you want half of our members (that are considered alts) you will be getting about 40 level 1s and 2s (I hope most of them are alts).

But how do we make sure that people's main accounts are not joining?

@WI6, we'll have to inform people that it is an alts-only clan. If they only have one account, they must be barred from joining. We'll have to self-police this.

Sounds like a great idea, hopefully we find someone willing to dish out $15, because I'm not.

In the meantime, we'll just have to keep this post alive so that our potential donors will see it.

MaxTroll already fulfills this role. We have surprisingly high-profile people inside, so come to MaxTroll if you are a cool alt and want some company.

The thing is, though, I already have an alt in your clan. I want to co-lead my own!

Also, a) assuming your clan is not composed purely of alts, then MaxTroll does not specialize as an alt haven . . or, b) it is not obvious enough to the casual observer that a) is false. ;)

It's not purely alts, there are lots of non-alts too. I personally dont see any real downside in this.

It is not a downside, but I have envisioned a community purely for alts, and unfortunately, MaxTroll is too welcoming of non-alts. We will, of course, consider ourselves friends of MaxTroll as many of our brethren are among you.

It's about time the alts had a home! We are outcast in this world of warlight. Many clans specifically ban us! We are discriminated against at every corner, but really, it is quite unfair. We had no choice in the matter. Some of us were formerly a main account, but most of us were born this way. It would be nice to be able to come out of the shadows and have a home of our own.

I feel the same way. Despite us being over half of the entire Warlight population, we are constantly being spat upon... despised... I was even ejected from a tournament just because I "looked like an alt" at the time, despite not having my main account connected in any way to said tournament . . .
