Romania Strategic lost?!?!?!
Im voting for it again

I also voted for Orannis last week and like Dodecahedron of Doom so am not all that disappointed. Orannis map for the win. The competition is lacking, I'm afraid.

Romania strategic should win this week (?)
Not a huge fan of it but as a mapmaker myself I really admire the visual appeal of it and the effort.

Forbidden city is very hard to read and visually... not that great.

Punjab is honestly an ok map, it's the only one I thought of voting more than 2 seconds, not as good as Romania though in my opinion.

Briskillanya looks like it's from 2012, and it wouldn't have made it very far back then either I guess, just a random bunch of territories with literally 4 bonus regions.

Nigeria is better than Briskillanya but quite similar, at least it's 8 bonus regions this time (Why does a map like this, from 2014, get nominated? I really do not undersand the system I'm just sorry)

I question why Briskillanya was even put here. As I said in the description of the map, It was made by a friend as a risk-like adaptation of his fantasy world, not as an award-winning masterpiece.

Rip Tatarstan. I'll go for Punjab, it is a part of promising collection of Indian maps.

oh wow Punjab. could've sworn it was another low-rate map. Did they change the other one? because all of them besides Romania was low-quality. Changing vote to punjab!

Romania Strategic is brilliant - I would like to see a good strategic template for that map. Seems like it's fresh.

As explained before, maps are nominated just so they can lose to the 1 or 2 decent ones most weeks, which is why you have Romania Strategic and Punjab as the two which will likely survive (one nominated, other one moves to the next MoTW, in any order), and the others are set up to lose.
If a map loses the vote and finishes below 2nd it won't get nominated for MoTW, ever, that's why the vote is mostly filled with maps which don't deserve to win it anyway.
It is a very strange system, though.
