So I was playing a live game with some member named Atticus Finch. It's not going great but I'm trying to see if there is anyway I can maybe surprise him with a large army and all of a sudden he surrenders and says, "this game is clearly over, why are we still playing this, at some point you need to realize you lost, and just surrender, thats to you, dont make me play games that are over"

I was shocked and baffled at how to respond to such a comment, how would you guys have reacted, did I do something wrong, isen't the point of a live auto-game to practice? I replied with "What the heck? Sorry, but I thought I was playing a game, thanks for the win anyways, you may want to use this....It's a prescription for chill pills, I reccomend one before each game and immediately after a loss. Take care."

^-- I don't agree with this statement. I play with many good players, and they're usually more chill than that.

As for that game, the fact Atticus was not able to secure a truly dominant position giving his overwhelming advantages is what prolonged the game, he shouldn't be complaining. Though I'm not entirely sure why you posted this game, perhaps attention-seeking? It's not a big deal, the game had no true victor, and Atticus was impatient.

Odd that he would assume you were making like '10' when you clearly deployed more than that on his borders. That's great though. Warm feelings and panda hugs for everyone.

I think i'm a good player, and I'm usually in a bad mood, nor am I arrogant ass. (ok, i'm average +, but that's not bad)

Same thing happened to me recently. Look at chat, he said i was lying when i had higher income then surrendered and saw i wasn't, i was actually really sad it couldn't continue because the game would have been really close.


On another note i am by far the best player in warlight, and + i'm extremely modest and humble in every way. O:)
Also, for those who don't know me, i'm usually not serious.
and for those who are too stupid even for that hint i'm far from being the best player in warlight. O:)

sorry for double post, but if it says "winner" under your name it probably means you won, whatever your adversary says. ^^

in fairness.... at 9PM with a game on, going to the pub sounded like a much much better decision than playing another 15 turns of a game i was fed up with anyways

But warflow is a fine player, and it says winner so i won't argue with that.

Pub trumps WL every time, doubly so when victory is certain.

The game between boston and warflow is so confusing...

i was really curious about who the winner would be, made me sad when he surrendered... but from his point of view it probably did look like i had like 10 income ^^
