First of all the map is looking awesome, but why all are all the U.S. bonus different shades of green?

As a reminder that they are part of the same superbonus. He did the same to Brazil, Greenland and many others. But somehow he messed up in Canada with having that green bonus there.

@Nate, would you rather see the U.S. 50 shades of gray?

I know what I'm asking might be irritating, but can you please shift the borders of the Eastern US territories so that it matches with the whole map projection. Texas looks perfect, but it seems that you then tried to copy a map of the US that didn't quite match the projection you were using and it ended up rather misshapen. Sorry if this is asking too much, knowing you already have the rest of the world to work on.

@i-like-swords

The US is fine. I think he used the Aitoff-Hammer-projection, and the US is a bit stretched out on that one, but it still fits with the rest. Here's the proof:

You can see the whole map fits almost perfectly with the wikipedia image I layed over it.

I'm back :) and happy to see that the new questions are already answered.

@John: I really, really like your reply! It wouldn't be 50 though, since I've merged Rhode Island with Connecticut :(

i-like-swords: I've already told here that US players may dislike this map. This one is more accurate, but we're just used to the map in which other lands are wildly streched. Here it is New Zealand, Canada and russian Far East that will suffer the most.

Moros: Thanks for telling that. The only difference is that I thought it would be impossible to show Oceania well, so I moved the map and it is cut near Mexico's coast (which allowed me also to make the map bigger). So Hawaii will be on the right side

I did another 64 territories since I've came back. 725 now, and I will reach at least 900 before finishing Africa - maybe even 1000 but I doubt it since there are almost no islands left and the territories will be bigger in Congo and Sahara...

It looks like the map may reach even 2500 territories.

A bit of hard work and Africa is finished. 936 territories right now on the map.

I think that's supposed to be Tanga, Manyara & Kilimanjaro in Northern Tanzania, you have Kilimankaro

I don't see how moving one piece of the map to an other place can allow you to make it bigger. Cutting a rectangle in two squares and switching them doesn't change the dimensions of the whole shape.
And cutting off at Mexico means Alaska will be at the east side as well, won't it? Americans will really hate you for this map, first stretching out the US and then taking it apart :P
(just kidding)

@Moros

This map has width-to-height ratio 1:2, while the limit of the map size is about 2:3. Which means that cutting off part of pacific ocean will allow to make the map bigger.

Also look where the Hawaii lies, and note that most of the oceania lies west from it.

And Alaska will be all right, the dimensions are curved in the corners so even though Alaska lies west from Mexico, it also lies right from it. Just look at the map you've posted here.

Oh, I misunderstood. So you plan to completely delete Oceania, not just move it?

Nope. But there is string of water east from the Oceania that can be deleted. And Oceania can be a bit shrinked since the territories will be circular.

I'm not sure I understand you fully, but I think I will when the map is finished.
And I wish you good luck on finding divisions for Russia!
