As the title says, I have recorded a new mapmaking tutorial. Not too much has changed, but I believe this new video is more organized, I wrote out the commands as callouts during the video, and it uses the new WarZone map editor (instead of the old WarLight editor).

Feedback is very appreciated! Did I forget anything? Could I have done anything better? Is this more helpful than the old tutorial?

I'm hoping this helps everyone interested in joining the mapmaking community or learning Inkscape in general.

Outstanding video! This should go on the wiki so that new mapmakers can find it easily.

In the next update I will remove the erroneous text that says it requires Flash. That hasn't been true for a while but I forgot to remove that message.

Only thing I wish you'd include is to recommend people test the map with real people before setting it to public. Experts like yourself can skip this step, but for anyone's first few maps it's a necessary step since most map makers miss connections and make other novice errors that will only be caught by playing it with others first.

I did show how to do it and I included my own practice game in the video. (32:53) I could have emphasized it a bit more to play a multiplayer game which may have been nice for newer players.
