Sometime I get bored and watch really long games
and its pretty cool to watch games while you are waiting for others to commit in real time

So I want to see a link of the longest ladder game you have ever played or heard of!

Not a ladder game, but ladder settings, and probably not longest I've ever played, but at least the longest I've played in the past year or so.

hedja is known for really long games on ladder settings. This is because he likes to makje strong counterattacks, and if the other player does the same, it really drags the game out to about 30ish turns.

Complained about it in a livestream once ^^;

--> Turn 7 it was pretty much clear that he had East China and Indonesia and only West China to expand into. In the following turns he didn't show you his full income so it was clear that he was expanding. You could have finished him off safer and faster.

Here is an interesting long ladder game. I recommend analyzing this game closely since it's kind of a tutorial where a top tier player (orange color) shows how to reach number 1 ladder spot:

@Norman, marc was pretty much dead on picks. Only reason it went on for so long was (1) the two players started in opposite ends of the map, and (2) marc stalled for a bit at the end. Very surprised he went for the "boston triple" there, as the expansion was far inferior compared to the north. Usually marc plays much better than that. I don't think this is a good example of a high level long game.

@Beren, this is my favorite of all the examples so far. That's definitely the longest I've seen on strat 1v1! Too bad about turn 8, I think it would have been very different had you not killed off your stack in Antarctica.

Yeah, there were a few turns where if things went a little differently the game would have been a lot shorter. Latnox already pointed out turn 9. If I had guessed right when I attacked Australia it would have been over. Turn 22 was critical too. If I eliminate him in Jiangxi it probably ends sooner as well.
