I was just wondering if it would be possible for Fizzer to make a quick update that would create a new forum section for the Nations Cup, and remove these threads from the recent posts on the dashboard. I just feel like every time I go to the forum, it is completely flooded with Nations Cup threads, so much so that it is difficult to find the other content. This is probably too much to ask, and I suppose I could ignore it, but seeing as so many new teams keep popping up and a forum thread is being made for pretty much all of them, I thought it might start to get completely out of hand. Just a thought.

I don't see it happening. Big tourneys and leagues like this pop up fairly often and will overtake the forum for a bit before dying down. Were a separate area to be made for every such occurrence there would be a lot of extra empty forum pages

To suggest a minor change (hopefully, improvement) to Dunga's suggestion: how about a forum section (named what?? I'm open to suggestions!) which is ignored for the "Recent Forum Posts" list on the dashboard? Because originally that was the issue BBBG would like to solve; merely adding a new "regular" forum section won't even address that at all.

RvW, but people would practically never use a forum section that ignores the dashboard, as they want their ideas/tourney/w.e to be viewed..

For normal threads yes, but for purposes like these (which get linked from a "main" thread anyway) it would be perfect. Problem is, it would require additional coding and I'm not sure whether that's worth it (for this rather specific purpose).

I definitely think we need a seperate area in the forum for Tournements

It would only apply to people that are already following the initial threads and seek to find further knowledge via the theoretical hidden threads..

'Recent forum posts' is for people to see where people are focused their attention in the forum, it should show us everything as it does.
What could it happen is to have at least 1 or 2 threads of each category in the 'Recent forum posts'.
