Technically that's true but misleading.
A continent is also a political division of landmass
Which is the reason why Europe and Asia aren't considered one giant continent.
And that is also why some countries consider North and South American as different continents
And some consider America one giant continent

In short, the word continent is not clearly defined therefore there will always be arguments and inconsistencies, but at the end of the day it doesn't matter
