I'm always put off by 'tournaments' with hundreds of players. They take weeks to start & several months to play with numorous vacations dragging it out even longer. I don't find a lot of fun in this. Can someone explain what the point is. ?

it is a bigger accomplishment to win an 100000 tourney then a 4 tourney

arun depends if you are comparing the 100000(impossible though too big a tourney) to winning 4 with 100000.
