Evreux, i would really like you reconsider playing, you helped me a bunch.

And you actually know better than anyone else that the coin-flips are not a general rule, otherwise unknownsoldier record in ladder would be impossible.

here are the templates Evreux suggested to me (enter the game links)

Hi guys, since I aimed in the high level competition in this tournament i want to give a suggestion. I will post every game in here and make a small comentary, and I would advice people to that the same. It can be also a learning post as The Impaller vs. the World was.

Match 8
dunga 3
Gnuffone 1
http://WarLight.net/MultiPlayer.aspx?GameID=2747201 (dunga won)
http://WarLight.net/MultiPlayer.aspx?GameID=2749658 (Gnuffone home won, europe)
http://WarLight.net/MultiPlayer.aspx?GameID=2749723 (dunga home won, strategic)
http://WarLight.net/MultiPlayer.aspx?GameID=2749752 (dunga won)

In Game 2, Europe game and Gnuffones home map he made clean picks and pick his 7 with a huge counter on me. I made a mistake on my picks. Quick win for him, bad template by me. I need one new template in Europe.

Game 1, 3 and 4 were pretty similar by my side. I went for a 5 bonus combo + fighters. I got the combo all 3 times.
Game 1: It was a dangerous call but my feeling was a could go for it in this game. I like this combos because you can go for pretty big expansion, 10 than 13 than 18 than 23, in a straight way, but it has its downsides, like being vunerable at 4th and 5th round. Gnuffone went for safety and got it, but he also gave me safety in exchange and my growing options were better.

Game 3: The oportunity presented itself, I went for it. The greenland combo seemed a safe choice to make the counter at 3,4,5 and i got it all again. Than it was pretty much just attack.

Game 4: We had opposite of the map picks. I started growing faster but he hit a good 19 at turn 5. Turn 6 he made a mistake, he already had a free card piece attack. And prefered using a mind game, going for expansion and not even using his card. I think he should've gone all in in california, the game would be tottaly different.

Great series Gnuffone,
and I hope you all like the idea of commentaries.

Oops, mistake at game 4, when i read i realized that he would use the card for finishing the bonuses, went to look for it and he used. So the game would be still a little favorable to me.

Ok, I think the first match of Premier Division ended (by the way, don't you think Masters Division seems like a much stronger phrasing than Premier Division ;))

Anyway Match 3 szeweningen - zibik21 3:0

Since Dunga requested, a short commentary on each of the games:

Game 1:
http://WarLight.net/MultiPlayer.aspx?GameID=2747182

Recently on the chat while analysing 1vs1 games there was a question about CA+SA cluster vs africa cluster, when some people argued the latter was safer. I responded to that, that africa cluster has problems with finishing last bonus, which in this game I succesfully exploited in net income, which gave me an opportunity to strike india. After that it was just capitalising on income advantage.

Game 2:
http://WarLight.net/MultiPlayer.aspx?GameID=2766898

I think I had better picks considering we bordered on turn 1. Crucial mistake is not starting with smallest bonus (india in that example) when you border enemy on turn 1, it let me take SA easily.

Game 3:
http://WarLight.net/MultiPlayer.aspx?GameID=2797046

Most wild game of them all, I pretty much had no idea what was happening most of the time, especially since we took many breaks. Actually I didn't know zibik picked caucasus untill the game ended, but that made sense since on most turns I gave him credit for more income than he actually had. Attacking through SA was very creative, but took a lot of time and potential expansion in the meantime. Trun 9 was critical (that's why you save OP cards), after that it took a while, but I was able to break him.

Overall great play by zibik, very small mistakes or non-standard game cost him the match. Waiting for other matches from premier league to end ;)
