I'm planning on creating a 3v3 P/R league with Cowboy as co-manager, if there's enough interest in the community. There are a few details I still need to work out, which is the purpose of this post.

Template: I'm looking for template nominations. I'll sort through them, and make a poll in about a week to choose the final template. I'm automatically going to add 3v3 Europe and 3v3 Biomes to the poll, but any other suggestions are welcome and will be added to the final poll.

Teams: There are two options for how teams would work: random or chosen.
Chosen would mean that you enter as a team of three, and are with that team for all seasons you play. This creates the potential problem of some members of the team retiring/quitting between seasons, while others want to continue. In this case, the rule would likely be that if one member of the team leaves, the two players remaining could choose a new third and maintain their slot, but if two members of the team leave, the third person would have to join or create a new team.
Random would work slightly differently. For the first season, players would choose their teams. Based on those results, divisions would be made for the second season, and in those divisions teams would be randomly selected. This ensures that good players aren't stuck with uncommunicative or unskilled members, and gets rid of the problem of retiring players forcing their teammates to adjust. After season two, the teams would be based off how long players have been in a division, and if they came from a higher or lower division, making the teams in each division as equal as possible. I'm attaching a poll at the bottom to decide if teams will be random or chosen.

There's also a second question of whether or not teams should be allowed to have alts, I'll add another poll question for that.

Format: The league would be in divisions of 4-7 teams. The first season divisions would be randomly assigned, and results would decide placements for the next seasons. After that, a set number of teams would promote and relegate, as in almosttricky's league. Since 3v3 games take significantly longer than 1v1s, it may be ideal to have fewer teams per division, so the league moves at a relatively quick pace. I'm adding a third poll question on what the ideal size would be.

Please respond to this post if you'd be interesting in joining so I can make sure there would be a good amount of people and if so, vote in the polls and feel free to suggest a template. I'll make a final poll for templates in about a week, and then tally all polls about a week after that. If there are any questions I'll answer them in comments as well.

I think the league should have its team-mates chosen, that's what would make this league fun. If you want to choose your 3v3 partners, you should just join the 3v3 ladder. I want fun and excitement and this league to be the complete opposite of the stale 3v3 ladder.

Alts are boring, the skill of team games is being able to work with different players with different playstyles - the skill of conflict resolution. Player's focus/performance level drops if they play with alts. I voted no alts allowed.

I think 4 could do the job for the first season but ideally, 5 should be the holy grail. 6/7 3v3 ladder games would be too much for competition.

and yes, I would be interested in joining the 3v3 P/R League. Template wise, I would like to see the seasons go in this order.

Season 1 - Europe
Season 2 - Biomes
Season 3 - DRoR
Season 4 - India
Season 5 - Great Lakes
Season 6 - 3v3 Europe (WR Version)

Then kick start again the 6 3v3 templates in a random order for the next 3 seasons and there ya go, you have your templates sorted for the life-cycle of this league.

Will vacations be honoured?
If they are, I don't mind joining, otherwise it's a definite no.

My time in the Juggernaut Clan (somewhere in 2013-14) we used to have drills and in clan leagues for best players. It's been a while since I last played a Warlight league.

I would like to see the seasons go in this order.

I was thinking 1 template that would be consistent for each season, but would people prefer to have rotating templates? If thats what more people prefer I'd be willing.

That'll be the goal. The first season, if we do league-chosen teams, may be rocky, but after that teams should be equal skill and communication.

Sorry, but if a team you picked doesn't communicate that's your own fault, if a team the league picked doesn't communicate you can accuse the league ops of all kinds of stuff.

If teams are random, I'm out.
