I'm not sure how often new maps used to be added, but nowadays, it isn't unheard of for three or more maps to be added at the same time or very close together. That means some new maps will be in the spotlights for a very short time, and a few maybe not even at all.

Even when "only" two new maps are added at a time, personally I still go to the [show all](http://warlight.net/Maps.aspx) page to check there wasn't a third new map as well.

This will use very little additional space (about 20 vertical pixels, to fit the names under the maps), but allows for four (maybe five) new maps.

Before I type up a UV though, I'd like to ask if there's anybody else who'd like this and/or if someone has additional (related) suggestions to propose along with it, while we're at it.

I do the same thing looking for new maps, so this is a great idea.

RvW has a good point. if they showed more maps i would be happy. i vote yes.

Additionally, it would be nice to maybe add a second row or a column on the side (or something else) featuring a few, random, maps (Maybe weighting unrated ones more). Normally, we only look at the top 6 or so rows in the "create new game" map list. Adding random maps there would hopefully change this, and expose us to other maps (especially the unrated ones).

In agreement with zing - a random map would be good, maybe different each day?

yes i agree my map was in spotlight for a small while and i never knew the us flag existed until i went to the ll new maps looking for mine.

I have nothing to say but I agree with all of it! Especially the random map idea. A "map of the day" maybe. Since there are nearly enough maps to fill a year right now, it could work!

Oh wait, there are already 432 maps. :) When I joined the game six months ago, there were 210.

More newest maps and random map/map of the day are both excellent suggestions. I like to keep myself updated on new interesting maps to play on. With this, that would become a lot easier!

Personally I think a random map that changes everytime you visit the dashboard or refresh would be better. That would put way more maps in the spotlight and might even keep people refreshing to see which map will come up next.
