You could make a new map link or save the map as a PNG (don’t overwrite the SVG!) then upload the PNG to an image-hosting site such as imgur or postimages. Copy the direct image link and paste it here.

Only inlining them. That’s kind of why I only said to link it.

Try deleting the waves beneath the boats, or maybe redraw some of the cities to have straight lines inside the circles (especially Barad-Dur)

I deleted the waves, and Barad-dur is not that big. I will keep it like this
The background for the mountains is about 0.4MB. Because with it the map is 2.9MB and without it the map is 2.5MB

So I saw no other option than to simplify every single territory. And I did just that. I did every territory ctrl + l and the size is now 2.2MB without the mountain background color path thing. I don't see what else I can do to reduce the size any further

Bedankt. Er moet letterlijk nog 0.1 MB af maar ik heb geen idee waar ik het vandaan moet halen

my original diplo map had 3MB and by using svg editors and others I put it down to 1,8MB. svg editors especially are really helpful at reducing size. I suggest you should check out these 2 sites and see for yourself.

https://jakearchibald.github.io/svgomg/ (this one I like the most, you can choose from a lot of options and you can see before and after)
http://www.petercollingridge.appspot.com/svg-editor (the upload button is broken so you have to open your svg with 'kladblok' and copy paste it there)

I'm going to put a little warning here: don't make extreme changes or your map may get broken

I hope this will do

YES I managed to upload the svg to warzone. But the bonuses were a bit too much. I am trying everything.

Here is the map. It is just the territories but there is at least some improvement:

But when I add the bonuses the size becomes 2.1MB or sometimes 2.2MB. So I have no idea what else I can do

thats because if you put your file into a svg converter , you'll have a light version
but that light version is lost when you put it back into inkscape

because if you edit your file on inkscape, it adds a bunch of unnecessary lines of code with it, things like nametags and such. its really a pain. since you don't want Inkscape to add unnecessary weight to your file, you want to load the svg that you downloaded from the svg editor(preferrably this one: https://jakearchibald.github.io/svgomg/). Make sure to not edit the file in inkscape before you upload it to warzone. I know this because I've had the same problem

I used that link. But all the territories were changed into paths. Is there anything I can do about that?

wait..if you are not using paths, does this mean you're using objects? paths consume less space as far I'm aware. and it should work out fine
