Used to have a poor sleep sked for past 8 years since 10/11yrs old due to staying on PSP / tablets / phones ect at night and just kept on keeping shit sked. Would stay up till whenever I could no longer stay awake like 12 to 4 but 2 was most common limit of body. Then I'd struggle to get up for school and days off would stay in bed till 11 to 2. I know it's not uncommon but looking back stupid routine. Staying up wasn't even sensible or good you'd just mindlessly stay up watching shit and being a zombie. Started working full time relatively recently in a physical job and now I get about 8hours. Am wacked out at 10 now idk if I've actually fixed my sleep schedule or if I went back to neetdom it'd be fucked again. Procrastination point is interesting from post above it is kinda like procrastinating sleep because you don't want to.

Sleep is the cousin of death. Sleep is for the dead. Aint no sleep for the wicked.

Congrats Rikku that's really nice to know.

I think in my case my lack of sleep could be due to the lack of carbs, as carbs increase serotonin and trypohan which helps with restful sleep.

A frequent problem in today's society is that people's sleep schedules get so whacked up that their circadian rhythm gets messed up or even erased. So finding a way to gain your circadian rhythm back is key. Some suggestions

-> Start an exercise regime. Being physically exhausted will help augment your emotional exhaustion.
->You might want to try self-hypnotism. And use it to re-train a circadian rhythm back into yourself.
->Try to go to bed at exactly the same time, including weekends and don't stay up past it. I know this really fucks me up.
->If worst comes to worst, start looking at drugs. But be sure to contact a doctor about this if you do.

If you are worried about sleep, then its less likely you will get the sleep you need as well.

Thanks for the insight the carbs help me a lot but on days where I have to go to college at 8 in the morning because the bus does not arrive at any other time so I lose a lot of sleep because the bus company is a very poor quality service a lot can go wrong because I can't go back to sleep and I lose track of time and lose possessions and injure myself when I lose too much sleep :(
