Hay, my name is DEUS VULT, and I was wondering if anyone else wanted a Thedas map from Dragon Age on Warzone, because I really do, a map like this with large bonuses for cities like Denrim, Ameranthene, Red Cliff, Orzimar, or Kirkwall. Medium bonuses for castles and forts like Ostigar, Wardens Keep, or Vigils Keep. Small bonuses for villages (everything else) so if anyone wants to chime in and support this idea, please notify a map creator and tell them to check this out.

Only members can post images in the forums. So you’re better off linking it.

Also you’re better off learning how to make a map (easy) so you can make the things you want.

You’ll want to download a free program called Inkscape.

There are tutorials out there, and the warzone wiki will be your friend. I also stream map making every few days (including later today) and I answer questions people have.

When I finished Dragon Age Inquisition I thought about doing this, but I quickly ran into some problems.

The main problem is that we don't know all that much about the internal divisions of most of the Thedas countries. Most of Ferelden is divided amongst Banns (some sort of counts), but we know, maybe, four Banns by name. Add to that the six or seven cities and forts we can name in Ferelden, and you just do not have enough territories.
Orlais is even worse in that aspect, and for all the huge kingdoms in the north we basically only have the kingdom name and the name of the capital, and not much else.

It might seem like the games have a lot of lore at first, but when you start mapping out the territory names, you'll quickly realise that you simply don't have enough territory names for a decent size map.

That leaves two options: either make up your own names for Banns, Dukes and cities - or make it a relatively small map. Neither of which I found appropriate for this world.

I've got a map that lists all the cities and I can cross reference fort locations to figure it out
