McCain is an America Hero and without him, we never would have launched the Surge in Iraq (2007-2008) which decisively defeated ISI, aka the Islamic State of Iraq (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Islamic_State_of_Iraq).

Obama, Hillary, and many top Democrats agreed that the Surge was a success. This is a bi-partisan fact.

It took ISI 6 years to rebuild itself and recover from this massive defeat. If you praise Russia for their campaign vs ISIS in Syria (2015-present) then you also have to praise the USA for the Surge which crippled the same terrorist organization.

However, McCain was a massive pussy on domestic policy. He was part of the "gang of 8" immigration bill that would have given amnesty to all illegal immigrants and he is 100% responsible for the failure of "Skinny repeal" of Obamacare. Additionally, McCain opposed the waterboarding of known terrorists in Guantanamo Bay just because he was tortured by the North Vietnamese.

McCain was a complicated guy. Anyways, McCain said he didn't want Trump at his funeral.

i admire his willingness to piss people off, even many in his own party. McCain was not only a republican but a very popular one. golfing during the dudes funeral lol. they need to name the trolling hall of fame after donny.
