Do Serbian nationalists defend the Yugo or does everybody agree that it was a terrible car? I am curious to know what the ex-Yugoslavians opinions are on the car.

For those of you who don't know, Yugos are cars made in Yugoslavia that broke down a lot, were ugly as sin, and weren't safe but they were driven by radical left wingers who only drove them because they got good gas mileage and they wanted to save the environment.

My personal opinion is the Yugo was easily the worst car ever created for its time.

it was ok i owned 10 back in the day. never drove them though they where good for accumulating dust for my collection.

dunno about the Yugo, but I had my childhood in a Dacia 1300 (that and all those 70's and 80's music mixes on my father's compact cassets) and man, though it's considered kinda bad in and out of my country, they were reliable.
