GUI, my high-school, cheeleader sister could probably kick your ass. You talk abotu how other people here are just nerdy computer guys sitting behind their computer who can't do anything...but by your logic you are the same. "I'd love to put on some boxing gloves and just destroy you." ha. next you're going to be telling us that you "have our IP addresses" and are "going to come find us". You're clearly nothing but talk.

p.s. I'm from America, and I'm an avid history buff. Red China =/= "Real China"

Dispite having it explained right in the beginning, I think some people don't understand the context of this thread.

Thank you for the clarification Gui, since you obviously think I am only able to sit back and wait for my teammates to do all the work for me I'll watch out in the future not to burden any of your teams with my presence. I will also try not to be a burden in our present tournament. Obviously you are right that teamplay abilities should be measured when you play with mediocre/bad players against the best since teammates will always follow good advice as we saw in a recent Europe Warlords tournament... Also you should know I always wait for my teammates to tell me what to do on the team chat, since, as we stated before, backriding is my hobby. I am very sorry for my behaviour, I'll try to avoid joining any team games with good players in the future since I don't want to be dragging them down with me... With that in mind from now on I will try my best to just look up to you and other Godlike players, I'll try to feel the warmth emanating from their glow. You know, since I can't fly, I am just trying to be close to birds...

yeah gui, you probably could beat me up. however, you are a grown man with a family and a life, and you feel the need to fight me, which means i am clearly the victor in this battle of wits. at least youre sticking to being a keyboard warrior rather than a perpetrator of domestic violence, i guess.

ps. i did not create the english language, and i did not decide to use sexual terminology to invent insults, you bucket of santorum milked from the anus of a transexual whore.

Wow. Dirty language to the extreme! Eagle, in which way is "Red China" (I use quotation marks because I have never seen people as devoted and serious about making money as the Chinese) not real China? It's the glorious People's Republic of China, man! Created by the great Chairman!

But seriously, guys, with the language. I don't really like Gui myself, but I think stooping to disgusting insults like that just makes you look bad. At least when Gui is being an asshole, he has the courtesy to do so in a somewhat rational way.

Eagle/X, "I'd love to..." Key word *would*. I never will. I couldn't be bothered to. I don't really care. But, if I woke up one day and some guy showed up at my door and said: "I tracked you down, Gui, I am [WM] X. I have a boxing ring set up outside. Take these boxing gloves. They fit you, I did my research. Meet me in one hour downstairs." ...Yes, "I'd love to" do an Ali impersonation within the hour.

Speaking of Ali: People of his time either loved him or hated him. He was either funny or obnoxious. But he was harmless, bc he didn't take it too seriously. The people who disliked Ali most either were very traditional or took themselves too seriously.

Szewen, beat a better team with a weaker team and my impression will change.

3v3 Europe has six basic types of players:

- 4: Top players (TP): there are only 5 or 6.
- 3: Great players (GP): there are maybe 20 or so.
- 2: Really good players (RGP): there are many.
- 1: Players who win at least 49% of their games (49ers, I like football)
- 0.5: Players who win 39% to 49% of their games (40s)
- 0: Everyone else.

Expected Results of Games:

- Add there values to see which team has more 'points' and that team is expected to win.
- 1 TP + 1 GP + 1 RGP = 9 pts. They are more or less equal to 3 GPs (also 9 pts).
- 3 TPs (12) > than any other combo.
- A caveat: if a better player dictates the moves of a weaker player throughout the game, the categories become blurred.

Based on my games with you Szewen, you are a 3 at best (Saladin's setting you up and beating you in your isolated 1v1 only confirmed this). We are something like 6-3 when on the same team (if you were a 4 we'd have lost at most 1 game). I am something like 11-5 against your teams overall. When your team is expected to win, you win. When the teams are even, you lose. When my team should win, I win. Though in 3 of the games you were expected to win, my weaker team was on the verge of winning and only lost bc a teammate misplayed at a critical moment: if I were filling the team chat with my commands as if I were a puppeteer, we would've won. But being a puppeteer isn't fun. A suggestion here or there is all I do, without insisting that my teammate is wrong and thereby holding up the game 10-15 minutes 2-5 turns in a row (something I've noticed you've done multiple times): forcing the other team to wait so long is disrespectful/selfish in real-time; demanding that a guy (who joined just to have fun) must make every move I want him to make is also disrespectful. I have my real-time games' autoboot at 8 minutes for a reason: 8 minutes is enough to discuss and make the moves. If you need more time, you should be booted. If you are away, the game is either already decided (and surrenders happen) or neither team has an advantage (and we vote to end). Not all games must be won or even finished. Fairness is most important.

But since you join TPs (4s) to win tournaments as a basis for you to presume that you are a TP (4), it makes me feel exploited, which isn't fun. A few weeks ago I told myhand I will never again join your team in a tournament. You have compared what you do to what I do. It is not the same. You determine who the best players are and then join their teams or call for them to join your teams. They just want to play, have fun, be polite. So they join. When I have "Dream Teams" in tournaments, it is bc I wanted to play with my best friends on WL: the guys I've played most with, know their real names or backgrounds, joke with, have real conversations with. It is just a way to chat more with them, making the game itself a social arena. Your "Dream Teams" are all about winning.

@ Gui --> As you should realise by now, win rate, which you think is an important factor, also depends on who you fight and whom you fight with, especially seeing that the latter is your major point against Szeweningen.

Off-topic to Szeweningen: is your name by any chance derived from Scheveningen?

Because 3v3 Europe makes Gui a very happy little boy. No need for more enlightenment than that, I reckon. Else he might beat me up. He is scarier than Ali, ya know. Although that fact might be tempered by the fact that Ali now has Parkinson's disease, and so is a stuttering, incompetent wreck of a man.

I misread your point? You've decided not to be in a team with Szeweningen anymore, because he teams up with better players in order to win.

Next, you come up with a kind of ranking system which actually endorses this, because teaming up with better players means you get a higher win-rate, assuming you face the same opponents.

And even if you were talking about 1v1s, then still one could manipulate his win rate by facing weaker fiends or mere sockpuppets.

And I didn't ask Szeweningen what his name is, I'm asking if it's based on a particular city's name... *misread that by chance?*

I assumed you were referring to winning % (ie, stats) only, since I described that winning depends on (a) who you are (top player, great player, really good player, average player, bad player, really bad player), (b) who your teammates are, (c) who your opponents are, and (d) whether or not the best players are influencing the weaker players. So I was confused, bc you said "win-rate...depends on who you fight and whom you fight with." Everything after "depends on" is exactly what I discussed, so the word "win-rate" threw me off.

Ranking system: what I've noticed from my games/experience. I brought it up to put my common games with Sven in a theoretical context, to say this: he can't beat my team if his team isn't stronger on paper. Once he disproves this theory of mine, I'd gladly change my impression of him.

Sven's name seems to be the name of a chess player. Sven likes chess.

Gui doesn't know shit about chess.
Szeweningen's name obviously refers to a chess *opening*, not a player. Just look at his profile picture. It shows the position after black answers 5. Nc3 with e6, leading into the Scheveningen Variation of the Sicilian Defence...
