Unwieldy to the point of uselessness for this map (had to just open on Flash mode):
https://www.warzone.com/SinglePlayer?PreviewMap=59538Issues I'm having:
1. To an untrained user, it's unclear where you'd even go about finding the distribution modes. There's so many bonuses on this map (listed by name, which I don't think means much to most players) that are listed above the distribution mode. It'd be nicer if the distribution modes were on top, at least for this map. Most people probably identify the bonuses visually anyway, by clicking on their links on the map.
2. Clicking "Major Cities" (distribution mode) triggers an animation that looks like some sort of weird glitch at first (my first thought was "what's wrong with my screen? why are there these random yellow and blue blobs on it?") and the persistent highlighting isn't obvious (I only noticed it when I went to record). For a map like this, I'm having a hard time deciphering the distribution mode territories in UJS when it's a relatively easy (and instant- no animations, thank god) task in Flash.
3. Clicking on the bonus link for a large bonus takes
forever on my machine in UJS when it's instant in Flash. The light yellow highlighting also isn't very helpful for me to figure out exactly what's in the bonus, since it makes it easy to miss exclaves. It'd be nice if we had something closer to the bold blue infill from the Flash map previewer- it scales better for large maps.
Here's a 30-sec clip of what I saw on my machine previewing this map in UJS (the 30-second timer ran out before the big bonus link worked):
https://youtu.be/befLeV-1CcQDoing the same thing in Flash:
https://youtu.be/JdPVlZz3E4sTook way less than 30 seconds to do in Flash what I'd wanted to do in the UJS version; had time to check out a good number of big bonuses and still stay well below the 30s cutoff. The only issue with the blue infill vs. the yellow highlighting seems to be that it makes it easy to get confused with the ocean + inland sea/lakes in the middle of territories.
