alhazi puts on a delay master class.

I remember when I first started getting into warlight seriously, if you wanted the 1v1 trophy, you'd have to go through Buns. That was 2016. He already had the 2v2 and RTL trophy, but since then he has gained the two, hardest trophies on this site. The Seasonal ladder trophy, and easily the hardest the MDL trophy. (He had to stay a rank above MotD, who is considered the greatest wz player right now by most, for 10 consecutive games.

If you want to prove that what buns hasn't done is impressive, get on the MDL and play against the best players in the game (If your lucky buns won't join just to block you)
But we all know you won't, because you'll only ever be good enough to get that 1v1 trophy off a pathetic run.

It's possible for it to be both. And he's clearly doing both.

It wasn't just that one time, he does that ~100% of the time I ask a question or show a lack of any knowledge.

His luck turn 2 is the primary reason you won that game.

I also think HHH vs alhazi is a very bad example.

mod, Hotbeachbum, and HHH are the three fastest playing players that have ever been rank 1 on the 1v1 ladder. They don't put the time and effort into most games that someone like alhazi does.

Pretty sure supergamerz as gotten ~2000 elo on a different account. Regardless though, he never said he would hit rank 1, and he doesn't need to be capable of doing so to have an opinion about your ability to do so on more than a run.

Though, calling it a pathetic run is a bit silly, since super couldn't hit rank 1 even on a run IMO.

that's how the game was played then, probably why the rules were changed so 3v2 is an automatic kill.

You can pick any random top 10 ladder player then vs now and you'll see it.

I've reached Top 10 on all ladders but the seasonal. I also play better players than you do on a regular basis.

I don't think it has. You're comparing WR to SR. You don't delay as much in WR because you need more armies to expand because of losing 2 armies when taking a neutral 40% of the time, and 3v2s failing 20% of the time.

My two cents: the understanding of the strategy and tactics of playing high level Warlight has improved significantly over the past few years. However, many of these tactics that have become more well-known (such as conditional moves, exhaustive calculation of opponents' positions, etc.) are highly time-intensive, so in general most people don't bother with them.

And as Nauz said, comparing the tactics in 16% WR to tactics used in 0% SR is rather pointless. They're completely different games.
