I would argue that. . . Trump 'is' sometimes truthful. There have been some really sleazy types in that office.

Trump isn't nearly as great as conservatives think he is.

But he's also not nearly as bad as liberals think he is.

We've had better, we've had worse. People need to just get over it and move on. Criticize him when it's necessary and support him when it's necessary, regardless of your political beliefs.

When is it necessary to support him?

Never. Even if you like them, governments never deserve your loyalty, only your scrutiny.

We had a chance to finally see some bipartisanship when Trump offered a deal to make 1.8 million people legal residents in return for an end to chain migration, migration lotteries, and funding for the wall. I feel this was a good time to support him. Didn't happen, though. Unfortunate. And Schumer is parading around like he's a hero for shooting it down.
