So I've been trying to get the game to work but every time i'll just get stuck at the first loading screen.

I'm using windows xp, I'm just wondering if anyone can get warlight2 to work on windows xp or am I wasting my time?

It might actually be tricky to get WebGL to work. But before you try that, what browser do you use? How long have you waited? Using the latest Chrome/Firefox version and waiting a few minutes might be what's necessary for Unity WebGL to work.


Of course, you can always just stick to the Flash version.

Used to use win7 but my tower blew up so i had to downgrade to a shitty lappy with xp, but
I got it for free so can't complain

I've tried chrome 49 and firefox 52 32bit, I've tried update both to newer verisons and 64bit but I've had no luck

usually when I try something new or change something I'll give it a try and wait 20-30mins. One time I waited close to an hour with it 'loading' in the background and nothing, the loading bar always stops at like 90-95%

Is that still possible? I tried connecting to warlight.net but it just redirects me to warzone.com. I know these a flash version on kongregate.com, its where i originally found warlight to begin with, but the player based disappeared from there a while ago. If theres a way to play the flash version could someone let me know please

Nvm I found how to enable the flash version, If anyone is wondering its in the account settings under 'Unity/Flash'

If you've got a shitty laptop but want to use a maintained/secure OS instead of XP (which has been abandoned and as a consequence is now a security risk to use), you might want to check out Ubuntu or Linux Mint. They're both Linux distributions, but they shouldn't be any more alien to a Windows user than Windows 10 is- and you're not really losing anything in terms of capability given that just about everyone has already abandoned XP support.

If your GPU supports OpenGL, switching to Linux Mint will let you play WarZone and other Unity WebGL-based games (which are proliferating thanks to the WebVR hype).

Since you already have Windows, you can even just allocate a portion of your hard drive to Ubuntu or Linux Mint and be able to use both operating systems anyway.
